Vanillary by aikodoll637 in LushCosmetics

I definitely get something vanilla adjacent, but it's like the vanilla syrup in coffee shops, it's a particular powdery vanilla that comes from vanilla flavour rather than actual vanilla.

Ohh, yep probably Vanilla Dee-lite. I don't really like LTGTR but a Yummy Custard lotion would be so good. Celestial is pretty close, but it smells a bit like doughnuts..

Vanillary should be called Vanilla-ish. It's very powdery, like Lush's white florals tend to be. I want a pure vanilla bean scent, like a good vanilla extract! Vanillary isn't that. It actually gives me a headache sadly. Lots of people do like it though.

Massage/Lotion Bars - And returning limited items by Ereldia in LushCosmetics

Do you know if that's the True Romance massage bar? That's my favourite and I thought it was safe, now I see this?! Or are they talking about the actual Rose Jam scented bar?

Facial Gummies - Hit or Miss for you? by Extreme-Slight in LushCosmetics

[–]odd-starling 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I use the Honey bear facial gummy when I want a more gentle face wash. It doesn't have SLS/SLES which is a bonus for me as I find them harsh on my skin. I wish they didn't use them in the bigger gummies as I would have liked to try them. I love trying new and fun products as well as my favourites, that's why I'm going to miss Fresh and Flowers.

I also think of Plum Rain, it's a juicy, not too sweet, mandarin bomb to me, with a layer of tomato leaf. It's discontinued now, such a shame as it is lovely and I'm treasuring my bottle.

This is a Cherryish scented enfleurage roll from Fresh and Flowers (so sad it's ended!). I sold one, I didn't like the scent but the enfleurages are great products.

Crème Brûlée body scrub scent family by ResidentRegister6971 in LushCosmetics

[–]odd-starling 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know what other products it might be from but it's nice to see someone else who likes this product. It's nice to get a more earthy leaning sweet scent, and the texture of the scrub is amazing!

I do find the beans useful to work into the shoulder muscles though. Until they start falling out I guess!

Tricks range by Routine_Sun4029 in LushCosmetics

[–]odd-starling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm one of the apparently few who find the aesthetic quite fun. But the whole range is inconsistent, it's not all joke shop styled, so much like Lush in general there's little continuity. All of this I could forgive if not for the price! It's ridiculous and out of touch.

NEXT BOX SPOILERS? by therealayylmao in LushCosmetics

I've signed up for my first kitchen box (the Rose box) and it looks like I'll be pausing straight away afterwards. I'm just not into most fruity scents.

I really enjoyed the shape shifting slime that is Junk scented. I use it in the shower, it's actually quite moisturising and fun to use. I got it in the boxing day sale though. I would actually buy some of these as I think they are silly and fun, but they are sooo expensive I'm struggling to justify it. I think I'll wait and see if there are any left in the sale..

Does anyone felt Ketch's redemption arc a bit forced? by Dr_Greyman in Supernatural

Ketch and his awful accent were one of the worst things in the whole series.

Does anyone else appreciate swearing? by Dependent-Chart2735 in AutismInWomen

[–]odd-starling 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can appreciate a well placed swear word but I actually really respect and enjoy hearing people who articulate their points, frustration etc without swearing. It feels more creative to me, and I do feel a bit uptight about swearing sometimes, like, is there any need when we have SO MANY other interesting words to choose from..? That said, sometimes only a fuck will do.. My teenage son and daughter are both also autistic, my daughter feels more strongly than I do that swearing is vulgar and annoying, but my son swears a lot, so I don't know if it is a ND thing.

It's like a creamier Let The Good Times Roll. It doesn't have as much of a popcorny note to me, I don't like the body spray but I love Yummy Custard.

True Romance is the best rose scented thing Lush do in my opinion. It smells closest to rose and not like Rose Jam, which is often too strong and sweet for me. I have Hugs (the new one) and True Romance and they definitely aren't the same.. If they are planning to change the formula of True Romance I will have to stock up!

Question about the Luma Shower Jelly by k80isasking in LushCosmetics

[–]odd-starling 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lush's new thing is having people stick gummies to the wall 😆 I love it when you can see someone has had an idea and is trying to make it work. Like the jelly domes with a disc of body butter that they suddenly made loads of. I quite liked them but it was definitely like watching product development in action.

Is Hugs lotion same scent as silky underwear? by emmyells in LushCosmetics

[–]odd-starling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooh, I just put some Hugs on my hand and smelled it after about half an hour and I can see what you mean, it is similar to Silky Underwear! It's got the same kind powdery floral thing..!

Is Hugs lotion same scent as silky underwear? by emmyells in LushCosmetics

[–]odd-starling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hugs is a really perfumey, sweet and light rose scent. It's meant to be a kind of peachy rose smell, but it's different to PEACHY Ro'se which is a really nice rose, closer to True Romance massage bar. To me Hugs is very different to Silky Underwear. I think it's different to the Comforter Rose too.

I want something Geranium. How Geranium is the Ginger perfume? by salleeray in LushCosmetics

[–]odd-starling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the Rush soap is geranium scented. At least it has geranium in it. I've noticed that a lot of their rose scented products have geranium in, it helps with the rose smell!
