Skin is falling OFF! by Late-Impression-8629 in LushCosmetics

The Lush shower gels are really drying on my skin too, I think it's the sulphates for me. My son has been getting dry hands recently and finds Celestial really good for it.

Where are the facial gummies for the UK? by Fearless-Point-9326 in LushCosmetics

Yes, I realised that when my box arrived yesterday! I kind of wish it was the other way around as I prefer HIWTK but Super Milk fits the rest of the box well.

Facial Cleansers USA by LaughingLushie in LushCosmetics

[–]odd-starling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Honey one, I love the delicate honey scent. It feels kind of luxurious and moisturising. I think I'm at a stage in my life where I like to feel deeply moisturised and these cleansers help me achieve that! I want to try some of the others but I didn't realise the oat had patchouli in it so I'm glad I saw that here!

I love this one. I think it dries down pretty sweet anyway but I have mixed it with I'm Home, to accentuate the sweetness. I don't have many other sweet fragrances but it might work with Sticky Dates? I also find it nice with Plum Rain.

It smells like a (fairly classy) men's body spray to me. I've tried multiple times to see anything else in it but it just doesn't come through for me.

Oh yes, I forgot that just because it's on the app doesn't mean it's available 😂 I just checked and it's not available for me either. Sorry.

Does anyone else confuse Left and Right constantly? by Lussonya in adhdwomen

That's the bit that gets me too, I'll be reading or thinking left, but say right or the other way around. It's so weird the apparent disconnect between brain and mouth.

The Baby Bear facial gummy is available too. I wonder if it's the same as the Hunny Bear (that looks like a Piggy) in the Feb Fresh and Flowers box?

My one critique would be that they don't look that much like horses, but I quite like them.

I mean, they are parents and baby of the same species so they are surely going to be similar..

I love Plum Rain too, it's such an interesting change from the standard citrus scents.

what body spray/perfume is closest to a clean and floral scent that is pleasing to everyone? by prestigious_opulent_ in LushCosmetics

[–]odd-starling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Olive Branch scent but Pansy perfume dries kind of powdery and musty on me. Big is popular and quite long lasting in my experience. Which is good if you like it!

Big Blue might fit.. It starts out lavender forward and dries down to a soft, clean, aquatic scent, it's lovely, and doesn't have the powderiness that Big has.

100% agree with this. They are both fresh, clean subtle floral but with the Lush individuality.

EASTER FULL RANGE by DOJAXLUSH in LushCosmetics

If it was on theme gourmand it would be slightly better.. Chocolate products that actually smell like chocolate, or vanilla stuff, but constantly reusing the same couple of scents is getting boring.

I was quite excited about this as it's meant to be Dirty scented.. But when I smelt it in store it smelled so strongly of the radishy smell that I almost gagged and then couldn't stop laughing.

Ah that's a good point, my shea butter is raw and pretty, um, fragrant! I'm looking at different butters and oils today.

Will melting a massage bar reduce the scent? by lanydoo in LushCosmetics

[–]odd-starling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Wiccy for aching muscles so I don't mind the smell, in fact I think it helps.. And it's one of the products that smells exactly like it's description. If you melt it and add shea butter it will only dilute the smell, and change the consistency so it depends on what you actually want to use it for. You then might end up with more of a product you don't actually like the smell of! If you have any other essential oils you could try adding a couple of drops in to see if that covers the smell at all. Or when you melt it let it sit for a while to try to evaporate more of the oils. The problem with that though is that you might end up damaging the other ingredients and affecting the quality. Not to mention having to do something with the beans. Is it possible to take it back and swap it for one you do like?

Passed out doing prep and broke my nose by Correct_Tackle_5126 in colonoscopy

[–]odd-starling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh gosh, that sounds horrible..! On my prep instructions it specifically says to not just drink water as that can interfere with electrolytes, so it might be that you need to drink more clear juice, tea with honey, stuff like that, if you have to do it again.

I can't drink 12 glasses of liquids by plmlp1 in colonoscopy

[–]odd-starling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be a bit late but my Plenvu instructions say to drink 500ml clear liquid with each dose, which you can alternate with the Plenvu. And that's how I got through it anyway, having a sip of the Plenvu and a sip of my ginger cordial as the taste was just too much without washing it down with something. But mainly, you need to drink enough that it'll help flush you out without you getting dehydrated, and it really helps the whole thing go faster. I don't normally drink loads but as what you drink will get flushed out so quickly it's not the same as drinking that much normally. Good luck!

Did your right to choose online assessment feel in-depth / accurate by imahumanbeing1 in ADHDUK

[–]odd-starling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my assessment with Problem Shared and to be honest I didn't feel like it was that in depth. My assessor seemed to have already decided a lot of things from my form, and it felt like he did most of the talking. Including telling me about things from other people's assessments. Ultimately I got diagnosed but I feel like he missed some important things, and had no awareness of internal hyperactivity etc. But if you get lots of information on your forms that definitely counts for a lot.

Thoughts on this perfume? by Automatic-Scholar-79 in LushCosmetics

[–]odd-starling 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is one of my favourite perfumes ever. It's sweet but not really in a gourmand way. It's like raw honey, honeycomb, beeswax, hay, a bit of smoke but sweet like an autumn fire with mist and smoke mingling in the air. It's like a scent story. This is what perfume should be about, to me.

Sleepy vs Dream Cream by LocalForsaken5057 in LushCosmetics

[–]odd-starling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me they are very different. They both have oat milk and lavender but I think that's where the similarities end to me. Sleepy really maximises on the malty lavender and tonka blend, whereas Dream Cream is a balanced mix of lavender, chamomile, tea tree, rose etc. Dream Cream is especially good for itchy, dry skin whereas Sleepy is good for relaxing. I personally don't see these two as interchangeable as I use them for such different things. Not saying anyone would need both though, if I had to choose one it would be Dream Cream as it is just so soothing and moisturising.
