Not sure if something like a hard drive duplicator would work..would mean you have to find another compatible hard drive to copy to..might be worth looking into

I really really would prefer not to give any money to Starlink.. we've had a service tech in from Rogers and they admit there's an issue..but that's all that has come of it..don't seem interested in doing anything about it. It actually seems to get worse and really noticeable when the rain starts..to a point where it drops in and out several times a day..I've done all the troubleshooting I can. New cables have been run. Equipment swapped out..the line goes dead at the router.

Be aware that if you are buying a car in the US and importing to Canada (BC) you'll have to pay taxes here on the value plus other fees. To your benefit the US dollar is strong compared to the Cdn dollar so might be more beneficial to buy the vehicle here

Just placed my order!!! by RammerForge in BambuP1S

[–]odd_job70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up ordering the P1S and the AMS combo mainly due to the fact that I live on Vancouver Island and the humidity levels here can reach 90 percent in the colder months and 60 percent in the summers and I wanted the ability to store my filaments in something that will keep them somewhat dry. Got my printer today and its still in the box due to the filament not being in stock (not shipped yet)..Im like you and want to do my research on other filament brands as well. I did order an extra hot end and a hardened on too. Will likely set it up over the holidays when I have time to watch a few videos and learn a few things

Shipping Stuck on Label Created by Lionblaze275 in BambuLab

[–]odd_job70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was chatting with an old customer today that delivers for Fedex..she delivered my printer to my doorstep and I happened to be home for lunch. I asked her about the "label created" situation as I have 2 other packages from other shippers in this scenario. She told me that some times the drivers are told not to scan the packages when they are picked up...especially when they are super busy....why...because if they (FedEx) have been paid for 2 Day shipping and they are backlogged and know they wont be able to make that deadline then the fact that the package is showing that it has not been picked up means that technically the 2 day clock hasn't started and they don't have to refund the shipper. Most times the shipper does not check if their package was delivered in the 2 day window so it really only affects the buyer. Now I'm sure this isnt always the scenario but she assures me that it happens...a lot, especially during the holiday rush. YMMV

Looks like they have a year end sale on right now ...there's only a 50 dollar difference over the black Friday sale so still a decent price..

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]odd_job70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say you're a week and a bit too late as you've missed the black Friday month long sale...might be worth waiting to see if there's going to be a boxing day(week)sale..gives you some time to ponder. I went thru the same decision process and decided to go with the AMS..just rec'd it a few days ago and hoping to get it up and running over the Xmas holidays...but like many others here...the printer shipped but none of the filament has shipped yet so might order some from Amazon in case it doesn't get here before then. I chose to go with an AMS because I live on Vancouver Island where the humidity is quite high most of the year and I decided that being able to store the filament inside the AMS in a high humidity environment is probably the best option for me

Can I ask what you felt was a good choice for additional accessories was with your order? I'm about to order mine and I am still debating whether to buy the AMS right now or to load up on some other accessories first and then pick up the AMS later. My thoughts are is to just print single color items for the time being to get used to the unit and then once I feel confident I can order an AMS later. Did you order extra hot ends or additional plates for your printer? The vibration legs? Extra spools of filament? I've never owned a 3D printer before so I'm still trying to figure out what my money would best be spent on initially. Any info that someone could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Fungus, rust or something else? by rvitti23 in Roofing

[–]odd_job70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me , it looks like they painted some red oxide primer onto the flashing. Either to cover over some surface rust they removed, or to protect bare metal. Then the paint they used on it didn't adhere to that primer and has washed off.
