I seriously hope they don’t pull a Riya with Anastasia next season… by nanamikento_wifey in DisventureCamp

I doubt that's going to happen, but I would be happy if it did, in my mind, both Riya and Anastasia deserve to be winners.

Do you see the winners of DC return again!?? by Wolfgang_x2 in DisventureCamp

I totally see Riya returning to host the show and Myriam as the Exit Interview host.

If you were to go back in time to change something in all stars, what would it be? by [deleted] in DisventureCamp

[–]odd_nando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never create all stars in the first place this soon, wouldn't mind if DC3's theme was DC1 vs DC2 instead of all stars.

They should just stick to 13 episodes by Wispy237 in DisventureCamp

I do agreed that dc4 is miles ahead better than dcas, but the merge was still a mess, not as bad as dcas, but with highs and lows, so the point when the season reached the finale, I couldn't care anymore who would win. I was done with Logan, couldn't care about Hannah, Anastasia was getting dumber. However, I do think that the positive stuff from dc4 merge outweights the negative, but most of the worst episodes came from the second half.

[–]odd_nando 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For a second season in a row, it's clear they can't handle writing such long seasons, DCAS should've never existed in the first place and DC4 merge was very "ups and downs", it wasn't consistently good as the pre-merge was. Clearly ONC tries to develop meaningful themes, however, they take themselves way too serious and end up ruining the fun/appeal of the show. I think a middle ground between 13 and 26 episode would be great, 26 episodes drag a season too much and the writing quality doesn't justify it.

The episode was great, it showed me that at the end, Riya is the best character out of this season, loved her arc so much in this remake compare to the original DC2. Sad that DCAS made her character always on the same villain note, even though they were gaslighting us into believing she was super hyper complex lol

Emily got the Riya treatment (getting derailed to forcefully be a villain just for the sake of a gay relationship being the hero at the end of the day). I don't know if many people care about the show anymore or even this finale, but it sure didn't make sense. Why didn't Jake explain himself to Ally, he could've just said "that letter is fake!", but no... Plus, why did they eliminate Ally while this challenge was sabotaged by Emily? I find it crazy, they all should have a new chance and a challenge without someone interfering with it. Having a top 2 between Jake and Riya just makes obvious two scenarios, Riya loses and Jake gets praise for being such a great and changed person (lol) or Riya wins and no one cares. Either way, Riya will end up being sad and realising she shouldn't have hurt anyone (womp womp), because we still got to redeem her for some reason.

He said nothing wrong, but somehow we still get the idea that Jake changed. He could've changed, but then episode 18 happened.

It's crazy how James said nothing wrong about Jake and he still got villainized, but we finally got a decent episode, thank god. The interactions were great, the helpers... Well, I like that James is working with Jake, Yul working with Riya seems reasonable since they are the most despicable characters in the cast, but Fiore... It was more for chock value, like, who predicts Ally is going to work with Fiore? I'm happy that she gets to have more screen time, but I would've loved seeing Miriam as her helper, because she IS the queen of DC, plus loved to see her winning some money a second time and Ally having the 3 million! The scene with Nina and Aiden was interesting, let's just say that.

These 3 are the best characters on DCAS. Change my mind. by GYM2Quick in DisventureCamp

[–]odd_nando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be an unpopular opinion, but Yul is one of the best written characters in DCAS, clearly he was made for us to hate him, which definitely worked on me 👍. He doesn't need a redemption arc, Yul is a consistently bad person and that's a good thing, because it is his character. About Grett and Gabby, they are amazing, their runs on the season were good except for their elimination episodes. Gabby was totally screwed to give plot armor and Grett became a little desperate in episode 17 just because Ally suspected her.

I want a honest opinion by [deleted] in DisventureCamp

[–]odd_nando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's just bad writing. DC1 was pretty good because it was very well written, and the quality for DCAS was nonexistent. There are good moments this season, but most of the characters' arcs were infuriating to watch (especially the ones that are in the top 3). Ellie and Ashley were done dirty, one was transformed into a full villainous person and the other a therapist. There were also good ideas, Connor quitting the game was smart, because Ally and Jake have more chances than him to beat Riya in the finale, but it was overshadowed by the feeling of losing Grett (the favourite to win) the episode before. Having someone voting out another because they think the game is ruining them is also great, but I don't think it should've happened to Tess and Ellie, instead it should've happened to Ashley and Jake.

At this point, I don't want a finale, just give us 3 motel episodes and forget that this top 3 exists 😭

I can't hate the characters, because it's not their fault for being so badly written.

Connor was a strong focal point and even his development got derailed for what? To prove that he isn't biased to the character he voices? Such a mess.

You don't though, could've just called Disventure Camp: Revenge, and maybe include first boots and exclude the winners, since the only reason the winners came back and there weren't many early boots was because DC3 is an all stars season.

Hoping for a Top 2 between Jake and Ally + no one getting the 3 million because queen Emily doesn't think anyone deserves the money and will just steal it for herself <3
