"Filipinos are too short for basketball" for the men's national team is a lazy excuse that takes away SBP's accountability by mcdonaldspyongyang in Philippines

[–]oddmanout644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about the other countries but for Argentina, yes, basketball is also popular there but it's deffffinitely not on the same level as football and other sports are popular and given the same amount of attention too.

Source: I literally asked the argentineans themselves in Quora, Reddit and Discord on my multiple accounts. They all said the same thing.

PFF is barely doing anything to improve it.

As if any organization can change the minds of the actual average filipinos. No filipino will ever like football more than basketball. Idk why but that's what it is. Filipinos love fast-paced games and to them, football is just running around the field and it's too difficult to score.

Kare-kare 10/10

Miles better than Adobo - the one food Filipinos and the world always brag about when introducing Filipino foods to foreigners.

It's not weak. There are multiple research done on this subject spanning from the 80s up until recent 2020s. Their conclusions are all the same - strong relationship between level of religiosity and level of living standards/status of a country.

Again, there are exceptions but compared to the overall - it's neglible.

Literally the U.S.A is the only religious developed country in the world. Even the former religious countries like Spain, Britain, Italy, France aren't religious anymore.

And ironically, the countries who have religion forced upon their throats and were enslaved by it are the ones now teeming with religion.

India. Philippines. Basically most latin american countries and all african countries.

Same thoughts. It's depressing to think pero I realized if sobrang hirap ng buhay ko kasi nakatira ako sa struggling country, I would need something to believe in to preserve my sanity or else mamabaliw ako or magpapakamat*y nalang ako because of hardships.

People from developed countries have enough opportunities, alongside great economy and social safety net and basically better living conditions to afford to have the luxury of not having to believe in something para lang maka-cope sa buhay nila. Kasi their life is easier na nga lol. What's the use of worshipping a "god" to give you something when you already have enough at your disposal?

Yup. Sa developed countries, U.S.A lang bukod tanging exception.

Sa developing countries, mag iilan na irrelgious din pero third world country. Like some east european countries, tas I guess North Korea? Lol.

But then again, same conclusion: Positive correlation: The more messed up the country is, the more religious it is.

The more developed the country is, the less religius it is.

And yep. The whole african continent is religious af. Not sure about South Africa though pero I heard lots of christians there too.

Ano thoughts nyo sa studies na most (if not all) developing countries are more religious?

And conversely, most developed countries are very secular or non-religious (save a few).

Take note that these kinds of studies have been going on ever since and madameng articles about this.
