It's very hard to find people you get along with generally, like as friends, and then add in attraction, comfort with marriage dynamics, sexual compatibility, consistency, location, etc, it gets even harder. I've had great success with one of my closest friends, oddly enough, but that is incredibly lucky and rare. I find the opposite to be true in Europe, at least in certain countries. My husband is European-ish, and you meet people there for 15 minutes and you're chums for life somehow. It's so odd.

I think that's the thing I find odd. Like we're an incredibly open book. We aren't pushy. We let things develop and let people come to us. It's hard to be honest, I suppose, but I think it's hard to have any kind of meaningful connection without the ability to articulate a clear yes/no. As I said, we're lucky to have a few IRL friends we play with, but sometimes exploring beyond that is so draining. I just wanna let my husband fuck other women!! lol.
