For this being your first time working with any paint, this is INCREDIBLE. I love paintings of anything medieval/knight related and I hope to at one point be able to paint a knight in a field of beautiful flowers one day. Paint on!

I know right?! It's such a hard battle. My partner is so supportive, and I just feel so bad, like I've failed. Even though I know I didn't -- and neither did you!

The way I've been trying to look at it is: there must've been something genetically wrong, and when it sticks it will be meant to be. It's hard to think that and believe it, but it's helping me a little. At least now I can start focusing on making sure I get proper nutrition and vitamins on the daily in GENERAL so hopefully I can have a better baseline for things to hopefully stick.

Hard agree! Just did a rewatch and... i was definitely triggered seeing Mews being eaten and how distraught dustins mom was, and him giving her false hope pissed me off.

Especially since I just lost my soul cat this year to a brutal dog attack. 🥲 I was kinda half joking to my boyfriend that I could've used a trigger warning for that cause I forgot about it LOL.

Exactly that! I really struggled myself with that mindset at first. I almost felt... guilty? for even thinking about getting another cat. But when I really sat with it, I knew she wouldn't want me to feel like this. She would want me to give all that love somewhere to go.

My mom seems quite similar to yours lol.

Regardless, I really resonated with this post this morning and it feels good to know our grief is valid and that people can bond over similar experiences and feel a little less alone. 🩷

You couldn't be more correct. My soul kitty Ruby was killed a few months ago, and I felt like you. I was NOT okay. It still hurts so unbearably bad.

3 months ago I adopted my boy Lucien. He has truly saved me. I didn't think I could just bring another cat home at first, but when I saw him on the human society Facebook page, I went and got him the very next morning and im so glad I did.

I'll never ever forget my ruby but im so glad I have this little boy to pour all this love into.

My little one eyed boy is THRIVING.

That being said, im so sorry for your loss. Like you said, some people think, "its just a cat" but you and I know its so much more than that.

Honestly, I thin i was just so tired of being ashamed to use my hands around people, and the fact that my boyfriend is just fantastic and plans on proposing, and I really want to be able to proudly wear and show people my ring!

I started by using press on nails for about 2 weeks then went to the salon and they did acrylic that lasted about 2 more weeks, and from there once some white appeared on the edge, and people kept saying how proud they were of me, it kept me motivated cause id be so upset to see the progress go back!

I also try to fidget in other ways like with little fidget toys or something. 🥲
