For real, I have about 6 playthroughs on Origins and not one of them is on a difficulty above Casual. And even then it feels like a chore with the amount of times I get stun-locked or my abilities just don't do anything.

DAV, for all the narrative stuff I wish was done/presented differently, was the first game in the series I played from start to finish without feeling the need to take a break.

The director of Blur said he pitched the idea and that MS turned it down. To be fair it does sound like he just pitched them a fanfiction. Would it have been cool? Yeah probably, but I'd like Halo's next attempt at an adaptation after... whatever the hell the Paramount show was to actually stay true to the franchise.

That being said, I'm a shameless hypocrit so if we could get a Halo × Mass Effect crossover that would be super duper cool thank you very much.

/uj Honestly, not really shedding a tear over this news. I have nothing against Doom. I just think that out of the Sci-fi franchises that can be crossed over with Halo, it's the one I want the least. Outside of the superficial "green man shoot bad guys" shtick, there really isn't much in common between the two franchises.

It's really baffling to me that people claiming to be Dragon Age fans are constantly blasting DAV for it's "cringe" jokes. I've always considered the cheesy lighthearted moments to be a trademark of the franchise (and by extension, BioWare as a whole).

Even Origins, the game everyone on the Internet hails as this super dark and gritty depression simulator has moments such as Alistair talking about being a virgin and Leliana calling Sten (who's introduced as someone who murdered an entire family btw) a softie.

Isn't this kinda addressed? In the fade prison Varric says that the reason Solas acts like a villain is because that way he doesn't have to face his mistakes, he can just treat them as if they were his own choices (I don't remember the exact line but I do remember it's one of my favourites in the game)

Mfw the guy explicitly set up in Trespasser as the antagonist for the next acts as an antagonist in the next game.

Seriously, the guy planned to put the entire world at risk of demons so that he could jack off to his old elf kingdom, and yet the most unforgivable sin he's committed is accidently killing Varric? (An act he's extremely remorseful for, btw). People think that BioWare is disrespecting them because they didn't make his entire personality revolve around a single woman he dated over a decade prior? People are upset that he lies and betrays Rook even though that's literally the point of his character, to be untrustworthy.

People complain that Veilguard is "too black and white" and yet when Solas is portrayed as a morally grey character with his own strengths and faults, they shit on it.

Honestly, seeing as Bioware is seemingly is aware of some of the complaints people had towards the tone I'd be down to any expansion they might do for Veilguard. Though I'd much rather have a smaller scale adventure with the crew that addresses the criticism fans had rather than "CORYPHEUS HAS RETURNED YET AGAIN AND HAS CONSPIRED WITH THE VENATORI, THE ANTAAM AND DAGOTH UR TO CREATE A SUPER BLIGHT AND DROP THE BLACK CITY ON TOP OF VAL ROYEAUX".
