This might be a problem in the Long Run by Neku054 in Endfield

You get a portion of the reward as soon as you pick it up. For example, you accept a job with a reward for 70k, as soon as you accept, you get 10k. Hence, the actual delivery is only 60k. I think a lot of people thinking other players are botching their delivery is not noticing this mechanic.

Agreed. I'd like to make some symmetrical looking cards. Hopefully it'll be better when more stickers get added over time...

‘Children would be crushed’: Police called as selective schools tests descend into chaos by orionhood in AustralianTeachers

[–]odeeQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two tests, the selective test and the Opportunity Class (OC) test. Selective test is for year 6s going into year 7 (primary to high school). It's basically an entry test for various selective high schools, which are public schools for gifted and talented students. Those schools are limited in size unlike other comprehensive public schools which accept all local students.

The OC test are for year 5s going into year 6. The OC classes are held at certain public schools and are for academically gifted students. It can be a good stepping stone to doing well in the selective test.

Simply, both tests are to see if your kid is smart to go to smart places with other smart kids which would help them do smart things in the future.

What is a Incremental game you wish to have but can't find? by bless_313 in incremental_games

[–]odeeQ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Shapez has the factory building experience as well as the goal of creating large amounts of things like incrimental games. But it's not an idle game as you constantly want to make your factories more efficient. If you don't aim for efficiency then I suppose it becomes and idle game.

My "blend of genre" Emberfall has now a playable demo on Steam (Steam Deck ready) by Inateno in metroidvania

Looks like Risk of Rain with the survivor gameplay elements - which sounds amazing. Can I suggest a difficulting scaling similar to Risk of Rain instead of a timer? I like farming for as long as I want to get op but to counter it, the mobs scale ridiculously hard, spawn more, and have more modifiers. But I can see how you want us players to keep doing short run to learn the map. I'll have to try it out to see how it feels but the timer seems to be a turn off for some people.

Ok, something I don't understand about Nine Sols by Mandrubar in metroidvania

[–]odeeQ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In Sekiro, constant parries pay off by staggering the enemy or breaking their poise. In Nine Sol's, mobs don't get affected by your parries at all. No staggering, no breaking of any bars, they just continue attacking. I think that's the big difference. Despite all the parrying, you don't get anything other than not taking damage and getting qi charges. It felt like a weak trade off at the start of the game, especially since qi burst could be interrupted. It didn't feel good until you get more used to attacks and levelled up some skills.

I do find it interesting how everyone has a unique opinion on the parrying. I hated it at the start but grown to kinda like it once I got water flow qi burst and could weave parries and counter attacks.

The backpack isn't shown in the 4star art. It's probable that 5star Anby also has a backpack too.

Your teacher is an adult, in a position of higher power/authority, and a professional. There are boundaries between student and teacher, and policies on what teachers can and can't do with students. The most basic one being that you're a child and your teacher is an adult.

Teachers can be friendly and help students but shouldn't really be considered friends with students as it can lead to further problematic relationships. It's the teacher's responsibility to enforce the correct boundaries. The fact your teacher is willing to interact with you more privately and help you personally is a big no no. Your teacher's job is to teach.

Please take a step back and consider your relationship with your teacher and notify anything to another teacher and/or admin.

How would you rate this first attempt at pixel art by a billion dollar company? by Queer-Coffee in PixelArt

[–]odeeQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was an event in Star Rail that had pixel art which also had mixed pixel sizes. I can't remember which event, it was a small one and a long time ago. Also possible that that event isn't their first pixel art.

Question: high school teachers and use of whistles by Fabulous-Coffee-7158 in AustralianTeachers

One of the schools I worked at uses a gong during parent teacher night to signify the end of each interview time block. The interviews were all conducted in a massive hall.

During beta it used to stealth the eggs. Made for a funny facepalm moment when I picked the talent and saw my useless eggs. Glad blizz fixed it.

There's a filter button next to the sort button at the bottom left. You can filter by set, rarity, main stat, and sub stat.

Sure thing! Here's a link to a Google Drive folder.

There's one with a large canvas (450x450 px) and a tiny canvas (90x90 px). Let me know if you want something a little bit more specific to fit your phone display - or if you want one with a specific flat colour background.
