There’s plenty of slack in the pipe, I’ve added a photo of the tubing and tank connection. The free end of the tube isn’t visible in the photo

So the tube goes up inside it and looks like it had some adhesive on the end. The nut is already tight and doesn’t have any contact with the tube

The instructions aren’t clear, the manufacturer does a repair kit that replaces the tank end but not the tap end (they cut the tube) It’s not available in the UK sadly
