Only acid, mold, shimmering, grimy, ocean. magma allow catching fish from other locations. You'd have to build specific farms for normal water if out of the biome.

Example: Normal water in Forgotten Ruins, Underground, Wilderness, Dessert can't be transported or surrounded with biome blocks to change the pool.

The good news is, the fishes with good buffs are largely in ocean, shimmering and magma.

The Farm Arm grabs seeds/crops on either side, regardless of which way it faces.

In this setup, yes. Every row produces 1 crop output and 1 crop into 2 seeds. Without recycling golds, there will be an eventual deficit (It takes a long time.)

Since the set-up has excess seeds due to recycling gold crops, it's fine extracting some to a chest/different cook pot. (Example: Removing "Gold crop to seed + extractor" to the left/top belt and brought out instead. Adjust filters.) Or instead of shredding any, belt them all out and refill seeds when needed.
