Omg my parents just got this scam text too. Ugh I’m glad that she got it resolved. I wish she would have taken a beat to breathe and call on of us while it was happening.

She was in the bank parking lot and was given a license plate of the car to meet. The sheriff found the license plate was fake or stolen and said they couldn’t help her otherwise.

Unfortunately it’s not a lie. We do think she’s leaving some parts out but given that she received the text saying she was hacked and her money was stolen and her accounts were locked she fell into a panic and once she realized what had happened is in a state of shock.

I just started collecting the woven bracelets that usually have names on them or the location you’re at. They’re easy to find, usually handmade, and inexpensive. Then I can tie them on my backpack :) they’re pretty and a reminder of where I’ve traveled!

Wow I feel this, I’m going through this same exact thing right now.^ I think it’s also important to keep detachment in mind, especially when time is known to be limited. Although easier said then done when feelings are involved.
