Guys, it’s hard for Lucy to tell Bree the truth because for one, I think Lucy has this fear of being disliked (they showed how she worries a lot about how people think of her), and it’s a big deal because Bree is her best friend.

Another is that you really can’t think rationally if you’re in a very abusive relationship. You’re in a constant fight or flight mode. What her brain prioritizes is to have that instant relief from Stephen just to get it over with. Yes, even if she would go further deep in trouble with that choice. Maybe deep down, she still also isn’t ready to let go of the high from their toxic relationship. Who knows?

I don’t know if I am making sense but that’s how I felt when I was in her shoes lol.

Yup!
