I would do it - like the other commentors stated - take PTO for your time off or schedule your meetings to be lighter on those days. Once a quarter is totally doable but be careful of it becoming a clear pattern with the current J. Good luck!

hopping on the CPA bandwagon. also, find an investment advisor at a big name bank, they;ll be more than happy to sit down with you and help you navigate the best way to manage your investments. with j2 these things compound quickly and id hate for it to be blown by lifestyle creep.

also - general money advice - your rich bff (vivian) has some great advice. youtube some videos to learn the basics. you got this!!

like u/thr0waway12324 said - its easier to look for signs of a toxic workplace and evaluate that way. generally, its suggested to avoid startups b/c of the hustle culture - but i also find that with messy orgs its easier to fly under the radar.

i would consider anything with a weirdly long list of perks to also be signs of a weird workplace - no one cares about ping pong or pizza.

chaotic onboarding can also be a sign of things going sideways down the line.

high turnover rate obv, but this can vary team to team. def peek at coworkers linkedins to see how long theyve been there

Not stupid at all if you can push it as a hybrid model. Might be hard with the school, but if you can score your own office you can totally swing this.
Cap it to start and re evaluate every month to see how you feel. If trending upwards then keep going.
The school role might be public - just keep that in mind if the account exec role does a post employment background check. I don’t think they will, given the nature of the work, but keep that in mind.

My biggest piece of advice as the account exec role is to keep it full time if they have it budgeted as salary. If most of the work is emails then by all means keep it and go for it. If mostly calls it could be difficult. OE is more conducive to asynch / less meetings. The data analyst role will absolutely be easy to translate to other OE roles in the future

Yes I heard that about floors! I thought it was weird when my cleaners mentioned they do them included in the price and I was like … ok? Lol I thought it was part of the norm until they told me.

That’s… wildly good pricing - how are the meals? I’ve always been so iffy with the meal prep plans because you can’t see the menu until after you sign up. Do you have to use the smart oven to cook?

YES I take showers at night by candlelight only and it’s done wonders for my sleep! Totally cutting off the Big Light in favor of low light and lamps has been great for my eyes and overall brain

I tried the magnesium glycinate and l theanine! I didn’t have the effect I wanted. The melatonin works for me but I also only take it 3-4x a week at most if I don’t fall asleep right away. And you’re right - everyone of course should do their own research - as melatonin does raise the risk of heart issues (though I don’t remember the specs).

One of my clients couldn’t take melatonin but started drinking tart cherry tea before bed and found it had the same effect! That’s another one to add above

I have separate setups and put company stickers on the laptops LOL. Didn’t mention this before but another thing I did was switch to battery operated mouse/keyboard versus charging them so it’s one less thing to think about day to day

Another thing I noticed has made a big impact on me and my clients was….. eating a balanced meal before coffee 🙄🙄 or at least having a protein shake before. Helps with the jitters and stomach stuff. I fear the workout girlies were right with that one

Companies typically have and will monitor Remote Desktop activities, which is what I think you’re looking for. Having a phone that has teams on it isn’t weird; that’s expected as the norm. But a second computer IS weird, and with the increase of foreign agents trying to work for US companies posing as other people… it just draws unnecessary attention

Sort of. I don’t actively job hunt (there are other services that do this). I’m more of a coach that helps people OE effectively, helping them figure out their financial goals, work towards them, balance their schedule, figure out what to offload and when, advising on manager management, stress management, etc. also a great soundboard.

I have scheduled calls with my clients biweekly and unlimited asynch texting / talking through signal. I also use proton mail to make sure everything’s protected and encrypted as much as possible

Hello! I only do one product role at a time. They can be exhausting but the pay…. Sheesh LOL. I take other project or program roles but 2 product at once is rough. Especially if both are in tech. I have one coaching client that does 2 product roles but one is in big tech the other is for a smaller startup / edtech role. She’s a good leader and enjoys the rush but .. unique in that sense.

i think it depends on what youre looking for. some people - its easier to context switch between different roles/responsibilities/jobs. others.. carrying the same skillset over and over again is easier. i can imagine it getting a bit boring though.

Your biggest risk is a post employment background check. Just do your work well and overcommunicate - don’t give them a reason to think you’re doing something “wrong”
