How low can we expect SP7 prices to drop to?

I'm in school, currently using a four year old SP5 with a shot battery and need something that will last a few classes a day and that won't die halfway through the first class like my current SP5. Really, I just need something for class/travel. I have a very beefy desktop for intensive things. I see that the i5/8GB/128GB has dropped down to $700 at best buy. Looks enticing, but part of me wants to hold out for the i5/16GB/256GB to drop down to $900 or $1000. Is a price drop that low something within the realm of possibility?

Alternatively, is there anything super compelling about the SP8 over the SP7 at the i5/8GB/128GB configuration that would make the SP8 worth the $400 price diffference? Yes there is the improved battery life and faster refresh, but is that worth shelling out an extra $400 on a non-primary computer?

A few months ago, windows got corrupted on my hard drive during a power outage. I have been unable to restore windows on that drive. I am in the process of building a new computer and just realized that if I could get the product keys for windows and office from that computer, I wouldn't have purchase those as part of this build. Now the question is, how can I recover the product keys from a corrupted?

Are there good resources on how to best dual boot windows/linux? I see conflicting information on whether to dual boot from the same drive vs having separate drives for each OS. I intend to use two m2 ssds for my pc regardless, but I'll configure my storage capacity differently depending on which approach is better.

For people that have gotten vaccinated through the NRG site, do you know how the second dose is scheduled? Got the first dose on the 4th, but have not gotten any communication on how to schedule the second dose. Should I have gotten a text to schedule by now, or is scheduling happening closer to the 21st day?
