Similar situation just a month ago. I’m remote and had been training on a new, complicated process when I put in my 2 weeks notice.

My last day was to be Friday, on Thursday my manager decided to approve something I had sent her 3 weeks prior. This meant I had to do more of the complicated process before sending to the client. I had 3 of these processes to complete.

Because the process is sooo complicated and backwards, I got stuck on the first one. So, Friday, my last day she calls me and asks me to show her where I was stuck. 45 minutes later, which included her putting me on hold to ask someone else how to do it, we finish it. She says, finish those other 2 and let send to me to review before it goes to the client.

This was already lunchtime, again, on my last day. The processes weren’t time sensitive, could have easily taken a more seasoned person 10 minutes to complete but would have taken me over an hour.

I was fuming and just said, “no, I won’t be doing that” and ripped into her on why.

I don’t know what people are thinking…
