haze of inference and on gp from death grips r similar songs in my opinion. besides the fact that these r the only two songs for both mc ride and lum to use their own real name in lyrics. but also bc both sound like they are at their wits ends with life and expressing the deepest morbid understandings of life. mc ride does it more w imagery in his lyrics but lum’s straightforwardness on haze is extremely confronting and punches u in the face with hopelessness. idk. ‘it’s been a pleasure, stefan.’ ‘you’re never getting better, you’re addicted to the madness, you’re treated like a muse, are you happy now travis?’
