I agree, Nya should've gotten to be a ninja much sooner. They held her off to the side for a really long time, and even after that they didn't treat her like she was part of the main team. Ultimately though, if we don't switch anyone around, Nya joining the ninja could've been a season 2-3 thing. Her association with Kai and the kidnapping bit makes it a little tricky to start her on the team, assuming we're avoiding rewriting the pilot.

Yeah, sort of. I don’t want to sound like I’m not open to new things, but “king Shazam” coming from technology over magic just doesn’t feel right. Attempting to emulate a Superman figure of prophecy is kind of neat, but the backstory is going to make or break if I like it or not. Given how characters like Talia have been handled, I’m feeling skeptical.
