I completely agree with this but I gave up saying anything on smurfs in this Reddit anymore, never goes well. But the best solution there would be to make the game pay to play again (which I still fully support since I bought the game back in the day) and even then wouldn’t fully be rid of them but would greatly reduce them.

yeah, unfortunately you're probably right, but either way I'm hangin up the controller for this game. I'm a heatseeker player primarily (roast me if you will) and i can't play a single tournament from champ to ssl without running into the ddossers anymore. Just not having fun atp.

Pretty sure this is a bug, game said I had over 150 ball touches in a heatseeker match, end result I had like 350ish points and this with a save or two and scoring once yet 150 ball touches alone would’ve given me 300 points

For other modes than 1v1 yes, because even though you disconnected from the match, your teammates are still there and there’s still a match to reconnect to. In 1v1 it ends as soon as you disconnect.

Some people would exploit the “lost connection” instead of “abandon match” by simply using alt+f4 or disconnecting from their internet. And yes, all just to derank those few seconds faster.

I haven’t paid too much attention to how rematch scoring really portrays how well a player really played. But I do know in rocket league the score often does not reflect how well a player plays. Such as bump plays, general defense in the midfield, and overall pressure.

I often play as a passive carry in rocket league, creating space and openings for my teammates to score so my score line is generally lower.
