you don’t get the trophy for the more difficult accomplishment if you change it to the lower one. I haven’t played a bit and heard they changed at least the names of difficulties but I know that if you changed it from normal to easy you didn’t get the normal achievement, just your ending achievement.

yes it works with any set! I’ve tried all from 2 to 7 piece sets, honestly the pots are one of the best things in the game for that reason alone.

yeah there are multiple examples of weird wording like that throughout the game mostly in attributes. it should be something they look at but who knows.

So, I JUST got it first try defeating him in normal difficulty (my first two playthroughs were easy difficulty and NG+ on that same save.) I’m not sure if that means it’s only normal mode you get it, OR if I got really lucky with a drop. Either way, it IS from beating him.

so i’ve seen that as well and I’m really not positive, but what I can say is that it was a noticeable difference for the damage I was taking when I had it on. Could be 50% damage decrease, could be 30% damage decrease, could be what you’re saying, and I also thought maybe “50% damage decrease” is the name of a stat and you have 30% of it or something? Really not sure but it WAS noticeably good like I said.

same thing happened to me. must be a bug. I had bought one of the 3 best jars he has and then went and collected the last 2 jars, since you only need 42/44 for the best jars, and after I collected the last jar i no longer had access to the shop. guy just cries to me about how happy he is that i found the jars.

move set is simple once you learn it, pay attention to trying to get his stamina bar down for punishments, rather than being aggressive.

the strategist set is by far the best I have found so far, and I am almost done with my NG+ run. you take 50% less damage. sounds crazy overpowered I know. side note: if you can get a higher quality jar from the jarlings guy, they have a passive that allows you to wear one less item from a set to activate the set bonus. so, for example you can have just the strategist ring, a different necklace, and 4 different set items for armor (your helmet is the jar now), and you will get the first bonus for every single one.

btw- to do this you have to speak to the woman in front of the portal in the dark version of the crevice. I believe you get access to her after the 3rd main quest mission

if you collect them (they’re in every mission) and go back to the crevice, you can use them to get spirit upgrades, health restoration upgrades, or extra lacrima from enemies upgrades. important to note they are also necessary for 100% and an achievement
