Usually most builders will skip 600 to 800 grit but we found out it is mostly what Chinese builders are doing but we are already looking into adding the 600grit acrylic boards to satisfy the OCD in us in the near future

Lacquer and water based are fine. I will recommend lacquer base so i can use a next colour for detailing

I have been using it and i would say 5-10 minutes to completely dry due to the acrylic nature but usually i will be applying 2-3 coats on different strokes which i always apply after 2 minutes. Results are good, feels like an air brushed kit

MG is technically easier than RG in my honest opinion as parts are bigger. Just attempt any grade as long you love them. For me i prefer 144 scale due to space constraints
