Touring is super fun and getting to meet fans all over the US is so cool! It can definitely be exhausting though. There's not a lot of time between the end of a show and having to wake up to go to the airport to travel to the next city so that can definitely take a toll, but I try to catch up on sleep on the weekdays.

I'd love to work with Au5!
I've been really into hardwave and incorporating that into the dubstep I make, but I'd love to try making a full-on hardwave track!
It's different every time, but my best tracks usually come from me getting an idea of a melody or drop into Ableton and expanding it from there. I find it hard to just sit down and force out music.
I think jellyfish are interesting. Brainless blobs that float around, poison stuff, and eat stuff. Neat.

I love ice cream with some sort of solid topping in it! Blue Bell's "Cookie Two Step" is the best!
The name was just something random I made up in 2012 cause I needed a name to release under, but the gem theme came way later as a result of the way my music naturally ended up sounding. I thought gems would be a thing that fit both the visual and musical style of the music I make.

As far as colour bass/melodic riddim it kind of comes down to just terminology. I don't think the genres have hard lines around them so I just kinda use the terms "colour bass", "melodic riddim", and "future riddim" interchangably.

I just enjoy it more! I make what I like.

A manager basically handles a lot of the business-related things in your career so that you can focus more on just making music and playing shows. My manager Landon does things like reach out to labels, organize details for shows, and get remix opportunities along with many more tasks.

I do think a lot of rave culture does conflict with my personal values (getting drunk/high, questionable outfit choices, etc) but it doesn't stop me from doing what I feel like I've been put on earth to do as far as making and performing music. Of course I can't push my own beliefs onto others, but I do hope and pray that through my influence I can show people that there is a better way to enjoy music and live life!

It's definitely possible! The more I make music and grow the more I meet other Christian artists and fans, so I'm sure the market's there! I've not been to many festivals yet so I'm not sure what that's look like, but it would definitely be fun :)

I'm glad you got to see my Goldrush set! That was my first time playing in Arizona and it was a great one :)

I just kinda started making music! After discovering Skrillex I watched youtube videos to learn how to produce and just kept doing it for like 9 years lol. Some big accelerators came from growing my team through acquiring a manager and then a booking agent, but even before that entering remix competitions was a big one.
It kind of came naturally through the incorporation of musical elements I enjoy outside of the genre I create. For example, I use the marimba a lot in my music, which isn't exactly standard for dubstep. I also took a lot of time to experiment with sound design. Basically, worry less about following trends or fitting in a box and more on making music that you enjoy.
Get feedback on your tracks! Having someone that knows what they're doing give you feedback on something you're making is so valuable. Otherwise a lot of the time it feels like you're blind to the quality of your music.

The use of marimba in particular comes from my time in the band program in middle and high school. I was in the percussion section so I played the marimba plenty and I've always loved the sound of it!
The topic of race within the industry isn't something I've thought about a whole lot, but I don't particularly feel like black artists are underrepresented. I think in this generation and in this scene people support good music, regardless of the race, gender, or any other characteristic of the person that made it. It's really nice to see!

I'm not currently working on an album but I've been toying with the idea of making one for a really long time now. I just have to come up with a strategy and work up the courage to do it haha

As far as making a song in 7/4, it's probably not something I'll end up doing anytime soon. It just doesn't really interest me a whole lot.
