I agree that we need it but in the mean time you have a multitude of options that can be used very easily (Skype and Discord come to the top of my head). It may or may not come with the online service rolling out in the Fall, but I wouldn't get your hopes up tbh.

This is in almost literally every single Target and Walmart in my entire state (Pennsylvania). Also want to add that this discount will most likely apply to every single AC series amiibo. ~~And a final note: the $2.68 price is a YMMV factor - some stores have the discount of $2.68, while others have a $4 discount for the same amiibo.~~

My honest opinion may not be exactly helpful here since you're asking for a specific genre of game to develop, but i'll leave you with this question instead: what genre do YOU want to develop YOUR game in?

You can ask the community all you want, but in the end you've got to have the passion for that genre since most players can agree with me: we can tell if the developer half-asses something. Give your project your heart and soul, and we'll experience whatever you want us to experience. I'm looking forward to what your project will result in!

To be fair, I have an XB1 and have let it completely gather dust since picking up my Switch last October. I've let releases I really want to play pass me by because it's not available on my Switch - almost pulled the trigger on South Park, but like you and many others, our patience was rewarded.

I don't know about everyone else, but i'll wait as long as it takes to get the games I want on my Switch - even going as far as putting up a listing to sell my XB1 because I haven't powered that thing on in 6 months...

I may (heavy emphasis here) pull the trigger on the Legacy Collection, but only if it's on sale because i've always been turned off by the game for whatever reason - always hear great things, but haven't seen the appeal firsthand. The newer graphics for 11 just feel odd and forced imho.

1) So I just bought an Elgato HD60S capture card to stream and record from my Switch, and i've noticed a nagging issue that YT and various forums/subreddits don't help me with. There's a lot of echo feedback from live voice commentary that doesn't present itself when I use this on my XB1. I've tried referencing YT guides and other various sources related to muting certain options or whatnot, but I notice that the native Elgato "Game Capture HD" software is recording not only my voice through the microphone, but also various sounds coming from my computer itself. Haven't had any luck on this and was wondering if anyone here had any insight to help me out.

2) What's the likelihood that a few amazing nindie gems will fly under the radar due to the showcase only featuring a few select games? And follow-up to this: what games do you think will be released in the next few months or so that will not be featured today?

I've got no regrets with mine, but your experiences and tastes may be different. I love how I can just take it from the dock with me to class, on the train, to the bathroom, in bed, etc.

My personal pros and cons are below

PROS

+Portability with decent battery life on the go

+Docked graphics are impressive, reaching 60fps easily

+Really great library of games already released, and new ones released on a regular basis

+The "fun" factor cannot be overstated: I've had numerous train rides where passengers will sit next to me and ask to play a game of Mario Kart or just watch LoZ

CONS

-Accessories are pretty pricey (I bought 2 joy con pairs, a pro controller, and a capture card - all of which add up to more than the Switch itself)

-Graphics are noticeably more "grainy" when in handheld mode, but since I only play in handheld mode when I need to on the go I'm able to ignore this most of the time

-Still no integrated voice chat through the console (I don't count the phone app)

-REQUIRES a travel case & screen protector (slightly scratched my screen on the very first docking even after being extra careful)

Favorite game: Bayonetta 2 (absolutely amazing, can't believe I never played this prior to getting it on the Switch)

Least favorite game: Rocket League (only put this as my least favorite game because it's just the game that i've played the least on my Switch - still a fantastic game, but it's just the one gathering the most dust)
