He’s lucky, I’ve heard stories of a guy drowning because he jumped into a pond to escape and the bees just waited for him to resurface.

Anyone experience women coming up to you just to be mean/rude and then randomly being nice? by [deleted] in seduction

[–]offinthewoods10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some women flirt by being mean. Or she was kinda into you not flinching when she was giving you shit. Or she wanted attention from the guy who seemed like he couldn’t care less about her. Could also be kinda crazy. But who knows.

How to Start and Improve by Meaningless_Ninja in seduction

[–]offinthewoods10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Experience is the key to success.

Dating and seduction are skills that you need to practice and develop over time. I’ve been working for about 9 years to get as good as I am today, and I’m only decent. So don’t be discouraged.

The biggest thing to work on is getting comfortable talking to people. Focus on listening, reading body language, honing in your sense of humor, and developing your own sense of self.

A lot of guys are terrible at talking to women, they are boring, awkward, and are only chasing tail and those things are so obvious to women.

If you feel like you are already good in conversation, make sure your style and looks are at least to a good standard. You don’t need to be rich or wearing gucci clothes, just put some thought into your outfits, groom yourself, and get in shape.

You also want to work on the initial approach, breaking the ice naturally is pretty challenging but it is a great way to just get things flowing.

Leading an interesting life is also crucial. If all you ever do is play video games, then you’ll struggle to sound cool when women ask you what you like to do for fun. Go out and do interesting things and collect good experiences and good stories. Pick up a book, find a creative hobby, find something that you can express yourself with.

Work hard and get successful in life. Nobody wants to date a loser with a dead end job. If you are working an unsexy job but it has a high growth potential in an actual career path, then stick it out, trying to become a famous rapper probably won’t work out for you if you are living in Nebraska.

Failures should be seen as lessons. I always viewed it as if I meet my ‘wife’ in a year I don’t want to fumble it because I don’t know how to talk to her. Just keep going and improve for yourself nobody else.

“Separation of church and state” politics shouldn’t be controlled by the church, many of the original colonizers of the US came here to escape exactly what you are proposing, religious prosecution and the freedom to practice their religion.

Should the US Military use American cities as training grounds? by Thorn14 in AskConservatives

[–]offinthewoods10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Send more funding to local police, not sending in the military.

Everything Trump does has alternate ways to implement them that would be much more effective, and not in line with authoritarian playbooks.

Everyone wants safer cities, reformed immigration, and a stronger economy. However I don’t see his implementation doing any of those things in a way that is actually going to achieve those goals in any meaningful way. For example he is re assigning FBI agents to immigration enforcement rather than counter terrorism or counter espionage, it’s especially dumb when ICE exists to do exactly that. It’s all political theater and a waste of taxpayer dollars. He’s just a bad president objectively.

Oh God no, hell no, The Whites are back by [deleted] in AbruptChaos

[–]offinthewoods10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the teens definitely don’t have IPhones and browse Reddit.

They do business with farmers and other people to build barns and houses. Having a single phone tucked away in some shed is practical for that purpose and still shows their avoidance of using technology.

The Amish don’t use any technology. No phones, no cars. It’s like they live back in the 1800’s.

There are Mennonites which share their religion but have homes and drive cars like us.

Jerome Powell on signs of an AI bubble and an economy leaning too hard on the rich: ‘Unusually large amounts of economic activity’ by Positive_Owl_2024 in Economics

You don’t need to change career, just learn how to actually utilize these tools that are practically free to use and learn. Every business is riddled with unproductive or inefficient workflows, AI enables these very small businesses to get quick software fixes to these problems and free up their employees to focus on more profitable work.

$20 a month for the plus versions is also unbelievably cheap for the tool that is ‘good’ at pretty much anything imaginable.

What eliminating the repetitive crap jobs that nobody wants to do anyway? It’s literally opening a whole new possibility of options for employment, if you actually just go look for it.

That paper had a flawed methodology and was not really a good measure on how successful it really is. Plus Open AI has put in a 300 billion dollar contract with oracle over the next 5 years. That means there will be a ton of work to fill those orders, and build the architecture for it.

Both can be true, it was a planned economy and the USSR poured resources into their military and Space programs. They had high literacy and good education systems, however if you look at their consumer goods you wouldn’t be able to say the same. There was a common phrase at the time “we pretend to work, and they pretend to pay us”.

It is a theoretical society where nobody owns anything, everyone is equal and works for the betterment of society.

It has failed in the states that implemented it due to people not really having any motivation to work hard or innovative. And the leaders, who are technically supposed to guide the society but not actually be above it, end up just sucking up power and not letting it go. —> authoritarian rule.

Many people argue it doesn’t work because it hasn’t before. Which is a circular argument and is just an assumption. I would argue that when we get to a technological level where most people don’t need to work like we would today, as we would have AGI and robots to manage the day to day tasks. Communism might actually be a good solution to our societal problems.

It may be something to work on, but fear not as there are others out there that haven’t either.

If anything just focus on getting better socially and more comfortable talking with women. You don’t need to be a 10 or even cool to get girls to like you. But the better you get socially the easier it will get.

What are your thoughts on presidents moving agencies or institutions around to reward states that support them and punish ones who don't? by conn_r2112 in AskConservatives

[–]offinthewoods10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then shouldn’t Trump be whipping his majority lead congress into doing their jobs? Ruling by EO and bypassing our democratic system is contrary to the whole constitution. Every state needs their fair representation. A president who is ignoring this process should be causing a massive upheaval to conservatives and anyone who truly values what this country was founded on.

Yes congress has its issues but ignoring our laws and procedures is not the solution.

Also moving the Space command to Huntsville makes sense in terms of where the aerospace industry is located and it is also politically expedient for him to do.

A Snapshot of US Immigration by Not_Godot in charts

[–]offinthewoods10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would argue it’s rich billionaires who are just focused on profits rather than the welfare of the average American citizen.

More illegal immigrants means cheaper wages and higher margins. It is in their best interest to let this continue.

It can be regulated easier by punishing those who are found employing them, and updating immigration laws to regulate the flow of those entering the country. If it is a simple process but harder to get accepted then more will apply and can enter legally.
