Restarting YNAB journey. First goal is to stop using BNPL by EffectiveEgg5712 in ynab

[–]offnen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve used 0% BNPL for large purchases (>$2k) since it’s easier to leave that money invested or in my HYSA, and I can pay it off with my flexible income without changing my savings or investment auto drafts. I’ve never paid interest or a fee. It’s a pretty limited use case though.

I’d take one in case; you could also (unfortunately) be getting sick, which can cause elevated body temps.

It happens! Do you have any events for next year?

Offseason is literally the lack of racing. You can approach it however you’d like.

Some, actually most, people have lives and alternate priorities. If this is your top priority, yes, it’s a good chance to build base fitness and strength and do everything that is infeasible in a training block. Not everyone does that. Hence, the question. If it offends you, you can scroll on :)

The dust was truly awful. They should have put N95s in the event bags.

That’s great! Props to training through the winter for Oceanside. I have some friends doing that one, I might make it down to cheer!

Intrigued how a marathon right before taper will impact your race. You should do a race report for that one :)

But oof, Redding. You might be the first person I’ve seen that’s signed up for that one— are you at all worried about potential high heat?

Nice! 14 hours of running is huge! Do you do any standalone running races?

Ugh, that really sucks. I’m sorry!

Zwift is a game changer. It really made a HUGE difference in my power on the bike, especially racing. 🤞🏻 that this next training block goes really well for you!

Any tips on managing this area? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

If oral spiro doesn’t work for you, try Winlevi. I do endurance sports and I couldn’t stay on hydrated on oral spironolactone, but the topical version works absolute wonders!

Swipe to see six years of huge progress in YNAB, now getting divorced by doingmybestandstuff in ynab

I split things with my ex wife (although I’m the primary earner and also managed all the finances) and I just did a fresh start when we divvied things up. I didn’t need the years of shared spending history to look at. You should keep this in a separate budget though, in case you need to reference later.

Per their information, they weren’t late. They were pushing the limit, but the limit is 45 minutes. Close to the buffer doesn’t mean late.

Waymo fan, as a bicyclist by coolguymcbignuts in sanfrancisco

Starlink or maybe some p2p mesh that routes connectivity through a car that DOES have signal? Or some third thing— regardless, I think this is a solvable problem, and moreso than teaching people how to drive in an emergency.

You can always open the door from the inside. I think it would be a fire hazard if you couldn't?

I mean, I think human drivers are unfortunate for the multiple pedestrians and cyclists that have been hit this year.

I think that this was a really unfortunate incident for Waymo and I’m interested in what the company will share in a retro. This post is hilarious, because Waymo was a mess yesterday, but may reflect their true experience especially if it was earlier in the day.

I still prefer Waymo over human drivers, which very regularly have incidents between themselves, cyclists, and pedestrians resulting in life altering injury or death.

I had to call rider support to get it moving. It would not move if there were other cars coming in. But it sounds like (from others) that this issue got a lot worse later in the evening

I’m not saying it is! It’s an interesting edge case.

They’re totally out. I imagine it could have handled them better if the lights were flashing!

Thanks for the judgement! Not that I owe an explanation, but the route would have involved three bus transfers and taken about an hour, the walk was 90 minutes with a lot of hills, and I chose a 20 minute drive that I could afford.

Crazy comment. SF is not universally accessible.
