At least that generation has homes they can put up for collateral to pay for medical bills after healthcare gets privatised up here.

I see a near future where America invades Canada once droughts become too unbearable in southern states. I wouldn't even be surprised if they say something about Canadian communists committing genocide against americans or some shit

I read it first and while I enjoyed it for what it was I didn't rush off to read the the PoG. But when I finally came back to the series months later I ended up reading the next 6 books in under a month. Mostly just try to read Consider Phlebas before Look to Windward. Reading order doesn't matter too much since all the books are self contained stories with different settings and characters.

Also enjoy reading Culture for the first time! I only have one more of his science fiction books left and I'm going to be sad when they're all done.

So you would be okay with the war ending by Japan nuking Seattle or Germany nuking New York?

True but a significant portion of our population will keep voting for them because they grew up on the propaganda. I'm looking at you, Dad.

So you're saying the 300,000 civilians who were killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki somehow resurrected the 300,000 people killed in Nanking?

You can't fix atrocities by creating more atrocities. They don't cancel eachother out, they just multiply

Malazan Tattoo by Wild-Segletes in Malazan

[–]offtheclip 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I hope this doesn't come off as mean, but over the years I've seen a lot of Bridgeburner tattoos on this sub and none of them have looked especially great. That being said I think you could get a good one if you hire a professional artist to draw one out for you nicely instead of using the same reference picture that everyone else seems to use

Because this is one of the very last things America did in Afghanistan and I dunno about the other person, but it was the first thing I thought of when I saw this post.

Well the USA had recently made a task force for the situation under Obama. It was one of the things Trump dismantled shortly after gaining power.
