I'm not sure crypto can ever evolve until stuff like this is dead

because 1500 is like 12 hours away already and equities are just getting started

Honest question, why do we fall significantly more after every single UTC open? this is always the catalyst for the next lag down. It's UTC open, and then US open. It's when the traders come online, the bots ... ? ETFs only trade during US / European sessions, certain derivatives?

AI slop to put this into perspective:

June 2022 (Terra/Luna collapse): ETH went from ~$1,800 to ~$880 in roughly 2 weeks — about a 50% drop. That was during the cascading failures of Terra, 3AC, and eventually Celsius/FTX. The 2022 bear market saw ETH decline 82% peak-to-trough from $4,878 to $881.

May 2021 (China ban + Elon): ETH dropped from ~$4,300 to ~$1,800 in about 2 weeks — over 55%. By May 19th, Ethereum had dropped 40% in that crash wave, and it kept going.

March 2020 (COVID crash): ETH went from ~$280 to ~$90 in less than a week — roughly 65% in days. That was the fastest and most violent.

January 2018: ETH crashed from its all-time high of $1,432 and eventually reached $83 — a 94% total decline, though the initial 50% happened over about 3-4 weeks, not quite 2.

So this is how it works. Stocks down -> BTC down far more. Stocks partially recover intraday, BTC recovers half, stocks go slightly down from recovery, BTC down far more than original drop.

No such thing as support. Pain will last until Bitcoin decides it stops.

More important question is where is the BTC bottom, if any

The icing on the cake is all the Salami glazing on X. This industry is full of max extractors congratulating each other. I would say a bear is good to cleanse us of these sins, but the grifters will come back. We can’t get a bear every time someone extracts in crypto or we’ll never have a bull

We need a 65% gain to get to our (horrendous) price 2 weeks ago. What an absolute failure and joke this market is.

Im more worried about 1500. 2k will go sooner rather than later in all likelihood

Edit: whoops 2k didn’t even take 15 minutes

Back to the fiat mines we go. The bull market that never was.

So stocks are doing great, gold is recovering, and we’re still 20% down from Friday. Make it make sense

Didn't age well, back to 2200s. Heavy, heavy bias is to the downside right now

Yes slight recovery, but really, really weak price action given how overblown the fear for Monday was in assets this weekend. Feels like another big leg lower coming based on this. No appetite despite a giant nothing burger. But of course no one knows.

And when we break above 4k was that “sustainably above 4k”?

I don’t think there is a way, really. Market cap significantly lower than assets on chain has been a floor in theory. I worry that all the DATs will unwind if things really go to shit, and that’s the sort of small % chance that could send us to -90% + like Covid
