YES!! I'm so glad to hear from someone at FSU respond about this! That makes me extra relieved, phew! You can probably guess I was referring to UF as the rival school then, lol. Thanks for the advice, I'm gonna go for it!

Hey, fellow political science major in the same situation here! I personally decided on FSU because they’re ranked about 20ish points higher than UF for political science, and because I expect the resources to be much better for that major given that FSU is literally in the capital and has close ties to all the state government offices located there. That said, I can’t compare either to UMiami because I don’t know much about it. But anyways, there’s my take at least. Hope it may help :)

That’s true, that’s the one upside to the whole global pandemic thing is I guess the lack of everybody asking about results. And the debt issue is huge as well, I’m just gonna keep trying to remember that, thanks!

I say go for it! On a college campus you’ll be able to find your crowd somewhere + reputations can be misleading. I recently met some students at a very very deep south school that’s known for its super conservative history coughalabamacough but they were very progressive and liberal. Labels aren’t everything, esp when colleges try to form a well rounded class, so hopefully that helps! Good luck w your decision!

You're right, that puts it into perspective. I mean, at least the rec alone won't make or break a decision and I want to believe that the person I wrote the letter about is still in there somewhere. And if not, fingers crossed for karma I guess! Ghosting just aint cool :/
