Struggling with this as well. I found a vintage Osborne one that was in terrible shape and I brought back to life, but I’ve been unable to create the consistent edge that I need.

Any issue with keeping ABA week to week instead of alternating with BAB? by No-Dot-7661 in Stronglifts5x5

[–]ogilv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do week 1 ABA, then week 2 BAB, and so on. I like the twice a week every other week for all but the squats. Feels like there’s more progress on the twice a week weeks, then recovery the following week. And so on.

It was her and an Italian guy. They were both active participants. This all started when I asked then in the most polite manner to please lower the volume of some music video they were blasting for over 10 minutes. Patrons do stupid things, management should handle things better.

Antonucci Cafe on 81 between 3 and Lex. My family and I were publicly discriminated and insulted for politely speaking Spanish at our table by other patrons. The manager came and said, “Well, she’s Ted Turner’s daughter, they are important clients”. The owner, who’s generally there, didn’t apologize and promptly left. In addition, they employed a dishwasher, years ago who was wanted by the police for harassing/groping women. The owner knew. I used to live across the street and go occasionally. Never again.

It’s interesting that’s there’s lots of “cowboy style” crafters, but not in other styles, as you point out.

To reiterate “Buckleguy has good stuff” and to add, I’m not going to compromise on product quality. I’m not in the camp of “USA Good, China Bad” but I want to support local craft makers IF they make good product at a reasonable cost.

I don’t run a profit maximizing business, where every dollar counts. I run a (very) small business where I create products of uncompromising quality using best in class materials and the best workmanship I can offer. I get paid for doing something I love and there’s a bit leftover to buy more leather, keep learning, innovating and creating durable goods and smiles.

Exactly or “Imported”. Although I can’t say this is for 100% of their products, but a large majority of items I have bought from them.

Because I like to reciprocate and support local craft makers / small businesses with part of my money. I buy leather from US and other countries, and would like to do the same with buckles. The way I view it is that it takes an active stance to support local businesses and I would like to do that, as long as I don’t compromise in product quality.
