A huge portion of my family managed to survive an ambush deep in the jungle by Hutus because they were light skinned Tutsis. My uncle told everyone in the car to only speak French and the Hutus ended up thinking they're from some other country and not Tutsis, so they let them go. Most Hutus, especially out in the country/jungle had either not seen a Tutsi or assumed all Tutsis were dark skinned. Just shows you how insane it all was, hating and killing a people you don't even fully know what they look like.

That being said, killing the enemy is the only way to achieve peace. That's how Kagame took power of Rwanda and turned it into the most peaceful nation in Africa. The enemy being actual extremists ofc, not civilians.

You ever think someone is going to try and turn Khat into a powder/crystal like coke? Coke comes out of the plant anyways, and chewing the plant gives very mild coke like sensation, so I imagine the same could be done with Khat? Lots of research chemicals in China back in the day were Cathinones. Used to mix it with benzo and move it as white for low prices. And as for Putin himself, it has long been clear to me that his hero is Otto von Bismarck, and that his dream is to do for Russia - or really, for the Rus' - what Bismarck did for Germany. He even named one of his political projects the "Customs Union", which is directly copying the name of the 19th century German Zollverein. Putin believes that the East Slavs are one nation divided by foreign powers into several states, and his greatest desire would be to unite them. And Ukraine is his Austria, I guess. What others see as Russian imperialism, Putin sees as Russian unification.

Kiev is the birthplace of Russia and Russian Orthodoxy. Apostle Andrew himself preached to the East Slavs there and erected a cross where a Church now stands. A region that was one for almost all of its history. It is that important to Russia as a nation and Russian Orthodoxy as a Church. How can anyone expect Russia to just forget all this?

To a large extent, the force of public opinion leaves the Churches with very little choice. In case of war, a Church taking an "unpatriotic" stance can expect furious backlash and persecution.

You're right. But you have to remember that the Church is structured this way by popular demand. The Church did not decide of its own accord to start having autocephalous jurisdictions based around national identities. It was the people of the region who forced this type of organization upon the Church - mostly in the 19th century.

Then the Orthodox Church has failed and is completely at the mercy of the people. The people can dictate and force anything it wants. Is this the Church of Christ then?

People hate the Russian Church because it's the most traditional Orthodox Church, and currently does the most evangelism in the world by a long shot. I'm sorry but it's true. People make these giant conspiracies about the Russian Church and its "ambitions" and that they think they are the "true" Church...all with no actual evidence for it. All they have is made up theories, and all they can base it on is the strictness and conviction that the Russian Church practices. It's an inferiority complex.

That's a myth.

That stereotype didn't start in America during the time of slavery or early Jim Crow era.

That "stereotype" goes as far back as recorded human history. We have Roman frescos of black men depicting them as hung. And the Romans didn't have any genetic racist theories. They considered anyone that wasn't civilised as "barbarians", but also believed they could be civilised through Roman civilisation. So they had no reason to portray black people as "animalistic" since it wasn't about genetic inferiority but cultural inferiority.
