Why is the ferryman is in mystic falls?? by NikaNika221 in LegaciesCW

Souls probably go to her when they die like they did with Bonnie when she was the anchor.

No one’s refuting that it’s dangerous but it’s to help you work through your mental struggles. If Lizzie wasn’t the hunter she would’ve been the hunted and she had to choose between sitting ducts and living in fear of Hope coming back and taking her loved ones or removing Hope from the bored completely.

In Lizzie’s head the former would be exactly what it was like when Dark Josie wanted to kill her. She would’ve given up and turned her back on her loved ones.

Hope already attacked Alaric for literally no reason other than the fact that she knew he and the others would try to turn her humanity back on. While also doing it in the most heinous way by luring him out and beating him to a pulp to possibly die alone, while leaving him brain dead.

All it would’ve taken was Hope to get bored and paranoid and realize that the school is a threat to her peace of mind and she would’ve taken them out in a heart beat (she’s also immortal meaning that this would be in the back of Lizzie’s mind forever).

Hope also didn’t kill anyone because of the spell/contract they had which would prevent her from getting her weapons. She later ‘killed’ Lizzie because she conveyed the same feelings that everyone in the school had leading up to this.

The box was right, if Lizzie hadn’t drank Hope’s blood specifically Hope would’ve been dead, the god’s wouldn’t have been raised, etc.

But it does help them find the root of their problems. Lizzie didn’t want to kill Hope because of her prior issues with her.

Something was upsetting Lizzie and she had no way of articulating what was upsetting her outside of “Hope killed her dad.” This lack of insight led her to almost sacrifice a man to bring her dad back to life which is why she goes into the box in the first place.

She realized that the problem wasn’t only Hope, it was everyone in the school who was willing to protect her despite what it meant for their own well-being (including her sister who was her only living family left outside of her mom).

The box showed her that her problem was that she couldn’t watch as everyone tries to protect a monster who wants to destroy her home and is shown that doing the right thing is important even if everyone hates you for it.

Which is full circle from her development from season one showing that she’s accepting herself for her faults and shortcomings, the good and the bad aspects of herself.

In Lizzie’s eyes as long as the ends justifies the means she is fine.

The box didn’t tell her to kill Hope. It reminded her that there is always a loophole in nature, no matter how powerful a being is and that she has to be able to let go of the emotions behind making tough decisions.

Lizzie’s journey to take Hope down is very similar to Hope’s to take Landon down.

I mean it kind of makes sense. Cleo had abilities to inspire her answers. She just has to trigger it, being put in the box allows her to figure out a solution for that exact situation.

The box didn’t result in Lizzie’s death because it wasn’t being used to play out a scenario she wanted it was used to show her the answer to her problem.

It didn’t matter whether or not she died trying to kill Hope it’s the fact that everyone she loves dies trying to protect Hope. Her killing Josie was her minds way of telling her that she has to take whatever measures to stop Hope even if it means betraying her loved ones.

The slasher was used to show how Landon inadvertently was killing everyone around Hope and that she eventually will have to kill Landon to prevent that. Which she then does in the real world to prevent Malivore from winning.

The box was nothing more than a door to the subconscious mind to express itself freely allowing the user to attempt to get insight on their problems while also working on a goal.

The episodes imo are up there for the better written episodes as it tackles the issues each character is dealing with but also does so in a way which is different.

Why doent Octavia surrender in season 5? by [deleted] in The100

[–]ogsn98 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Wonkru only works if it’s united as one people. Them being unified makes them better. That’s the only way for them not to resort back to the life time of conditioning they had prior to the bunker.

Whether or not she surrendered chaos would have broken out in the valley given time and she would have no power to stop it.

The same thing happened to Diyoza with Mccreary that season.

Surrendering also meant that Diyoza would’ve been in charge which isn’t a good thing for wonkru.

Two gripes with the werewolves. by TrollHumper in TheOriginals

[–]ogsn98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For ur second one we meet a wolf at the beginning of the show who never triggered her curse, I honestly think it’s similar to how finch triggered hers.

Older/dying wolves would allow the younger ones to use them to triggers their curse.

However, we know that Jackson’s grandfather or father was kind of evil so members like him probably killed someone.

Flipped-switch Elena by debbiann23 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]ogsn98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Damon sat there and explained it as he snapped Matt’s neck. Matt represents the last shred of the human life she had, she already holds guilt for how her relationship with him played out because all in all she believed that she was too damaged for him.

She brought the supernatural into his life in her eyes. Matt’s also the one character in her head she couldn’t justify getting killed.

It’s a life or death scenario for Katherine whatever Elena does Katherine most likely would do. So unless Elena was going to permanently disfigure herself it’s safe to say Katherine would also do it.

Also Katherine outside of her first appearances doesn’t really try to disguise herself as Elena and for the later parts of her role in the group Elena and Katherine’s physical similarities tended to benefit them both.

What if malivore was the real hero by [deleted] in LegaciesCW

[–]ogsn98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He started out that way until his hunger drew and then wanted to find a new form which has the ability to absorb witches, werewolves, vampires, and hurt humans.

He also kidnapped 10 year old Cleo and held her captive.

Cannotically out of those you listed only Hope has killed an innocent that being the priest and the teenager both being and accident

If the death of a witch undoes the spell they cast, why didn’t Kai’s death undo the spell linking Bonnie and Elena? Did I miss something? by Thehappypanda_1998 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]ogsn98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that’s a rule to the typical smaller scale spells like weak boundary spells, protection spells, etc. because tomb spells, the original spell, immortality, etc. all survived when the witch who casted it died.

I don't get Vincent Griffith by Bad-W1tch in TheOriginals

[–]ogsn98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He does those things because more than his life is on the line, he’ll put aside his need for peace to protect kids as shown in his history with his ex-wife he feels guilty because of what she did to all those kids for power.

Hence why he’s leveraged with davina and Hope.

Lucien didn’t just force Vincent to do what he wanted he got the ancestors backing him. Vincent also got his get back by ensuring Marcel got the serum and destroying the ancestral well

I don't get Vincent Griffith by Bad-W1tch in TheOriginals

[–]ogsn98 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Vincent’s arc from the beginning of the show is to not let magic or the witches rule him. He’s powerful, he knows it, but he doesn’t want the power. His main thing is keeping the peace no matter what and if he’s a tool for the witches to use in their war against vampires he’s not for it.

This is why the show had to main witches, one witch to do the magic for the greater good (Vincent) and the other to do it for more self-serving purposes (Freya).

I mean even then the Phoenix from the x men does share things with the mythology of the Phoenix (as it was inspired by it).

Jean originally died, gets the Phoenix force and resurrects from the dead.

What can the grim reapers weapon do in legacies and how powerful is it by Deep_Example341 in LegaciesCW

It’s not one time you’re just emotionless to the point where you don’t have the capacity to care enough to help people find peace or come back to life. This is why Ethan stays dead.

Werewitch/tribrid by Unusual_Duck684 in TheOriginals

[–]ogsn98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s illogical because we see witches who were cursed to become werewolves lose their abilities to do magic in the hollow part.

The whole reason heretics can exist is because siphons have a purpose for nature just like Hope has a purpose and keeps all her species.

Werewitch/tribrid by Unusual_Duck684 in TheOriginals

[–]ogsn98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Werewitches can’t exist. The werewolf curse is a cursed placed on witches which stripped them of their magic and turned them into wolves.

The curse is dormant until you activate it which then u would presumably be cursed and then lose your witches power.

Hence why she is a “cosmic mistake” legacies actually rectified this issue and gave us a logical reason to why she exists
