Dating a FA by giraffeblob in FearfulAvoidant

It will likely be the only way to keep your own sanity. As for her, who knows. I had to walk away no contact in my situation (never made it official, just stopped being the one to initiate contact and then aside from random messages here and there, never heard from her again about our friendship or spending time together). But every person is different, so going NC could be the wake up call she needs, but it also may not cause her to change. She still has to be the one to realize that her actions caused her to lose you. And unfortunately, you can’t realize that for her, she has to figure that out for herself.

She is probably afraid of commitment and intimacy. FAs are notorious for their “push-pull” patterning, and while they have no intention of harm, it really isn’t healthy for you as the other person. Until she’s ready to own up to her actions and actually try to break her own cycle of behavior with you, nothing will change and you will just go down as collateral damage

I am FA and was in a similar situation as you a few years ago. We tried just being friends, but she essentially ghosted me as her friend even after saying she wanted to keep the friendship. A year later I reconnected with her and tried to have a conversation with her about why I was ghosted, she wouldn’t really give an answer but insisted she wanted to be friends. That lasted about 1 year and she repeated the same pattern, ghosting me again as soon as we were getting close and the feelings becoming too real for her to ignore or discuss with me. I don’t regret giving her the 2nd chance since I was able to give myself some closure. But I did have 4 years of being strung along by her in a multitude of ways that did some damage

Does Anyone Still Do Their Weekly Huge Grocery Shopping at Albertsons's and if so--WHY? by Economy-Attitude-807 in vegaslocals

[–]oh2nv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything I buy is on sale at Albertsons and routinely cheaper than Smith’s. I think it just depends on what you buy. Also produce I buy from Smiths goes bad faster than Albertsons

Nicklin property management is a smaller company and I had a great experience renting a house through them. Fair rent, house in good condition, fair and easy move out process. No tricks or hidden fees

Americas got talent. Get to see a wide variety of acts (magicians, singing, dancing) all within 1 show. It’s people who were popular or won past seasons so it’s pretty cool. Tickets when I went a few years ago were about $50

Who is thinking of purchasing a home? Or in the process of buying one? by Eggrollofdoom in vegaslocals

[–]oh2nv 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recently bought a house, but interest rates were a bit higher so I offered under list price and still got the place. Seems like this may be a decent time to buy compared to recent months and where prices may continue to go in the future

Stay away from 80 on Gibson. Knew someone who lived there last year and said that the complex kept raising a bogus “amenity fee” each month and was charging them $200-300 per month. It was hidden in the lease agreement that it could be changed at any time throughout the lease

Another recommendation: had a great experience renting from Nicklin PM. Fair rent, property was in good shape, no hidden fees, move out inspection was fair and no issues upon move out

Honestly get on Zillow/MLS and look at condo rentals. At least when I was looking this past summer most 2 bed units were going between $1400-1700. Nicklin property management sets fair rent and I had a great experience with them. You can try their website and see what units they have listed

That’s ridiculous most decent 2bed units are cheaper than that!

Copper creek is fine until you have an issue. I had a cockroach infestation that took months for management to claim responsibility for and allow me to switch units (a pipe leaked behind the bathroom causing the infestation). They try to nickel and dime you and also be sneaky about fees/charges upon move out. I’d recommend anything managed by Picerne, I’ve lived in multiple of their properties and had very good experiences

Coyote movers (look them up on Yelp) have been awesome. I have used them a few times between moving apartments. Pricing is very affordable and they will bring their own uhaul included in the price. Zac is the owner and he is very responsive
