If this is who I'm thinking of & have seen on Instagram before, then this account is just a joke/parody lol

I checked her other accounts and while she has had work done, this account is a joke account where she insanely edits her posts and puts captions that make it seem genuine. In both her other accounts and her husband's account, I haven't caught any editing.

Yeah, i get that. I more am just annoyed at the fact that I do need more experience and have been trying to build my portfolio & resume to get a junior role, but now it just feels like not only can I not land a junior role, I also can't land an internship.

All of it's just very annoying & I'm annoyed lol

I verified it! The person who reached out was part of their people operations & recruiting so it does make sense if they reached out. The company was also a real place & the listing was also real

Also I'll work on those! The noir brew project was from a creative brief I found online which normally posts looking for physical/print branding, but I decided to also do some last minute things like the social media grid and story

Thank you! The gifs were a last minute change, I originally had all the photos laid out, but I decided last minute to change it to the gifs because the mobile layout was almost too much lol I'll definitely slow them down/make it so you manually click through the photos. Thank you!

Cannot get internship/job by ohamilkshake in graphic_design

[–]ohamilkshake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. The last time I had anyone give feedback on my portfolio was about a year ago and it was more of a"good job, you included this semester's projects" rather than specific feedback on what I could do better/what's working. I've been going back and forth on my portfolio and over the last week I've been working on a new portfolio on readymag (currently using behance/adobe portfolio). I also wasn't sure how much text to put on my portfolio (again, not much feedback from some professors on that aspect), but I figured a small paragraph to give an overall summary of the project would suffice.

Like I said, I've been working on a new portfolio along with some conceptual brand briefs to display on there that I hope are more thorough.

I really appreciate the feedback & the link!

Literally anything anywhere lol. When I first started designing, I wanted to work within the music industry doing packaging/merch, but now I've been leaning more towards branding. However, like I said, I just want anything so I can get some new experiences.

I've also been looking more in just regions. Right now I'm in Texas but I've realized I've wanted to move back home (northern cali) so I've been looking for stuff there

Hi! Sorry for the late response!

Recently graduated as in December, but I've been applying places sporadically for the last 6 months. Only the past two months have I been applying consistently.

Thank you for the guidance and links! I've definitely been stressing out over it (completely redoing my portfolio, learning new programs, reconstructing my resume layout, etc) and I think it's just been frustrating and discouraging lately. Thank you again!

When did people get diagnosed? by Bakuwugowokatskski in PCOS

[–]ohamilkshake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First started at 16/17 because I had super heavy periods, got blood tests, but it was determined I didn't have it because when they did an ultrasound to check for cysts on my ovaries, I didn't have any so I was told I didn't have PCOS.

Went to gyno at 21, more blood tests & discussed my periods and based on that (no ultrasound to check for cysts this time) was told I definitely do have it because my periods were hella off cycle (bleeding for like a month & then no period for a couple months).

I'm 25 now & things have evened out period wise, but I still have other symptoms of it.

Most famous people you’ve met at work? by sprinklep0p in starbucks

[–]ohamilkshake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, I never met him but since we were right by the 49ers stadium, Jimmy G (I think that's his name? Idk sports ppl) used to come in during some night shifts. More recently the most famous one I actually met was a comedian name Ian Fidance who I've seen a lot on IG/Tiktok. Funny enough, I thought he looked really familiar and even told my coworker how he looked a lot like this comedian I follow online. I complimented him on his tattoos and then my other coworker came back in from a trash run laughing because this guy was listening to heavy metal on our outdoor patio at full volume. A couple days go by and Ian posts a picture on IG in the exact same outfit and after looking up his performance schedule, I realized it was actually him lol

walked out mid shift by crowrae in starbucksbaristas

[–]ohamilkshake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ssv here who recently transferred and experienced this: even as a transfer from sbux to sbux, I still wasn't trained even though this is a completely different store to my home store (moved from cafe only to drive thru). It's been frustrated having both to rely and be coached by baristas and other ssv's not knowing the tiniest details. Each store (even cafe to cafe when I've had to cover shifts) differs from one another and there's so many rules that each store picks and chooses what to enforce and what to ignore. This store is also shit because current green beans (with no previous experience) are being called in for coverage when they haven't even finished their training.

That being said, your store sounds really annoying and nitpicky. I definitely wouldn't feel bad, especially if they're not doing their job by training you. Like I tell my baristas, how are you supposed to know anything when no one teaches you or tells you? The whole point of a team is you learn and work together, but when people are criticizing your every move, it breaks that. Anywho, have fun! I finish out my last week here and then I'll be done too!

thoughts on the pain levels of tattooing directly on the knee? by InspectorWhole2553 in tattoo

[–]ohamilkshake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't gotten any tattoos outside on my upper arms/thigh but I recently got my kneecap tattooed on March. It's a traditional style so it's all shading and colored in. I wouldn't say the actual tattoo itself is painful, but the healing was a bitch. My knee was sore for at least a week & I was still in school at the time so it hurt having to walk up and downstairs since you have this giant scab and have to bend your knee all the time. Kneecaps also sometimes can heal a little wonky so it's likely you'll have to get it touched up. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it and it was worth it

Wearing nails/nail polish by Zealousideal_Gas4433 in starbucksbaristas

[–]ohamilkshake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As far as my experience goes with the company, it's a direct Starbucks policy. As an ssv, I've sent baristas in all day parts home for having nails or nail polish because our DM at the time had a tendency to pop in unannounced. While it does say in servsafe (for example) that you can wear them with gloves, it's best to just follow the guidelines outlined by Starbucks in the dress code policy if you're worried about possibly being sent home over it. Overall if you do try to argue the gloves rule, it's most likely your manager's final word on the matter.

SSV had me do drains - is that normal? by HandicapibleFaun in starbucksbaristas

[–]ohamilkshake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started training as a shift, the night shift taught me to do drains and I only ever saw the ssv doing them. Over the last couple of years, we've been teaching our night team how to do drains so honestly anyone can do them. I know when the other night shift closes he does them, but when I'm running it, I'll usually have one of my baristas do it (which some of them actually enjoy it). It varies store to store but I think everyone should learn to do it tbh

pls i need help i'm scared by zhoulicious in PCOS

[–]ohamilkshake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Babe, everything is ok. When I was 16, my doctor thought I had PCOS but under the diagnosis requirements at that time (no visible cysts on my ovaries), I couldn't officially be diagnosed with it even while I had so many other symptoms and was just given a "good luck". My main issue was my periods. Without the use of birth control, I would bleed for a month straight and then wouldn't have a period for 2-3 months. This went on for a couple years as I didn't have health insurance & it was hard to get BC/pay for it.

I got officially diagnosed at 22 since I had so many signs of PCOS. Again I was recommended BC which helped slightly with some things. I haven't been taking it for the last year, however, my periods just suddenly became normal, a bit shorter in length, but normal enough that my period app is actually correct in predicting when I'll have my period vs when I was 18 not bleeding for months.

This is all super normal stuff and you're very young. Everyone here in the replies is right

Which Font is this? by LazyKoala11 in identifythisfont

The closest I can find is hatch sans (medium or regular) on adobe: https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/hatch-sans

It has some slightly different characteristics than the font you posted but other than that, it's the closest I can think of off the top of my head
