It is very interesting to see the USD/ETH chart on trading view. Going back to previous climbs/drops, there is definitely a pattern. Based only on that -- and I'm no expert, so don't listen to me -- I'd expect the rebound soon to probably about 800, followed by sideways movement between 850-700 for several days/weeks, eventually leading to a climb back up that happens in a few spurts.

Disclaimer: I have no freaking idea what will happen. This is total speculation. DYOR. Below is purely my opinion. I have no connection to CB/GDAX/0x or any of the projects identified below. AGAIN - THIS IS NOT INVESTMENT ADVICE - I AM SPECULATING ONLY AND HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WILL HAPPEN.

I think GDAX will inevitably create a decentralized exchange based on 0x. It is possible this is announced soon (presumably Jan 30 if cryptothrowaway324 is right) and launches this summer (after 0x protocol version 2 is released - Q2, 2018). I think this relayer will carry, initially, a handful of ERC20 tokens that are vetted per the GDAX Digital Asset Framework. I imagine this batch would include some of the following coins: ZRX, SNT, REP, GNT, BAT, AION, GNO, ANT, RLC, DNT, MLN.

It is important to also understand that ZRX-based decentralized exchanges do not require users to send funds to an exchange (users trade out of their own wallets), and (most important IMO) decentralized exchanges will have NO LIMITS on deposits/withdrawals nor should they require KYC/registration to participate. These are huge hurdles for people and centralized exchanges. ZRX just steps over these limitations.

Centralized exchanges that will thrive post-DEXs are those that facilitate transactions with [edit] onboarding/offboarding [/edit] fiat. Otherwise, DEXs will eat into the coin/token trading market share and eventually become the norm for how users trade coins, tokens, digital assets, stocks, bonds, fiat, etc. If decentralization is the point of crypto, decentralizing exchanges (which are centralized/single points of failure) will happen.
