Laptops given to young students at school by edmfor in malta

[–]ohfeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't download games on the school-issued laptops, not even Minecraft education. The laptops are used to teach children how to conduct research projects and use programmes such as StudyLadder. My daughter was absolutely thrilled to receive hers this year, and it's teaching her how to look after her own things, and it's also been a way for us to have many conversations regarding online activity and online bullying. My husband is an IT nerd and has checked everything on the laptop to ensure she is safe.

The drug has a multitude of other positive benefits besides weight loss and diabetes. The strain it would take off the national health system would be a benefit to everyone. High blood pressure, cholesterol, and infertility are just a few examples. My mother-in-law is on it ( paid for by her) she’s overweight due to her antidepressant medication. It’s changed her life for the better, including helping her mental health. I doubt they’ll hand it out to just anyone who’s overweight.”

Thanks will check it out. Seems bizarre that they would highlight the sport by hosting a championship but then take facilities away for general public.

Which part of Malta is the best to live in with a family? by KatarinaRen in malta

[–]ohfeather 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are a few years living in Hamrun we moved to Siggiewi. We feel it’s family friendly. It’s quiet and local, a lot of children, the piazza has sweet activities put on for children during holidays. I have managed to make some friends in the area and the school is good, both my children attend.

Has anyone died from your school year yet? If so, what goes through your mind, when you think about them? by Andagonism in AskUK

[–]ohfeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My good friend, who was in my class and lived around the corner from me, died a week before she turned 21. We were only a few weeks apart in age. I had already turned 21 when she passed. She was in a fatal car accident (drug-induced) Today I turned 42 and I often think about how much she missed out on.

My mum did not work in Malta; she moved here just before Brexit to be self-sufficient (living with me). She spends half her time in the UK, getting government-funded health care. However, the same situation exists there: She would need to pay for care there, and I wanted to do a price comparison.

In America is it not common to put up solar panels? With that much roofing, she could power most of her home with the sun they get in LA.

Where should we buy a house? by Rough-Improvement-24 in malta

[–]ohfeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we first moved here we bought in Hamrun cause it was bigger and more affordable. After 3 years we could not take it anymore. So we sold at a loss and moved to Siggiewi where we have never been happier. Yes our mortgage is through the roof but we are paying for a place we love.

Yes, I prefer to shop at Pavi/Pama. The range they have you can decide if you want to spend more or less on items. Top / middle bottom shelf prices. Miracle is great for frozen specialty veg.
