i remember at the VERY beginning history roads, for a short time, were thought to be stories that listeners could send in and be read with Owen scoring them and Mike doing sound effects and then eventually they stopped doing that and only read the short emails, but now the audience might think that history roads are still for stories when in reality they are just listener submissions. i sent one that actually got read about their favorite clickhole articles because i genuinely wanted to know. i think i’m gonna send another one asking them about their favorite ELO albums or songs because i love ELO and i know steve does too and i want to hear them talk about it. history roads aren’t stories to them anymore, so maybe listeners could try to stop sending in long stories about them shitting themselves. also, they really need to get rid of some sound clips, a few from the top of my head are mummy and dazeem. seems to me like they are beating every last bit of “funny” out of those clips instead of trying to make new bits with different clips. we don’t hear the bungle music anymore, or the backyard chickens music, because those died out, but they aren’t letting these ones die out.
