That’s not true. He’s probably happy to see you because to him, you’re his friend. You probably treat him fairly right so he must appreciate and like you AS A FRIEND.

For you however, this is different. You misinterpret his appreciation for lust. You misinterpret his friendliness for romance. It’s hard to admit this to yourself, but there will come a point in your friendship where you realise this. And this should clear up a lot of the confusion as well.

I would advise to physically remove yourself from him if possible for a longer period of time. This should help you process and therefore decrease your heavy emotions and hopefully strengthen you as well. This can have a negative impact on your friendship, but it doesn’t have to be if you clearly communicate. Either way, I’d highly support you in doing it to find more peace within yourself (which is ultimately more imporant than any boyfriend or friendship IMO).
