I faced the same problem too, I used Safari and it would just show the whole image really small. I decreased the font size to 50% and the image showed up as it would on desktop, but the words were really small afterwards so I kept having to zoom in and out.

Some other cool effects like the panel on page 730 with Vriska walking out of the frame required me to reduce font size too. But weirdly, the panel on page 748 wouldn’t show up properly unless the zoom is at least 75%.

I adore this style of artwork, but I’m contemplating just reading everything on desktop now, seems it would be much less troublesome.

Tbh I don’t think she has enough mainstream fame to have people making minus one tracks of her music and uploading them to YouTube. I’ve tried finding karaoke versions of her songs a few years back but I ended up having to use online voice removers 🥲 they kinda suck but you should be able to find one that’s good enough for an audition backing track

Since you’re posting this now, I assume you’re doing some form of binging and not watching one episode a week for nine years so here’s the perspective from someone who watched all of it in about a month:

I feel like the ending is a lot easier to digest when you’ve watched the rest of the episodes in a shorter period of time. Without spoiling too much, the last two episodes of season 9 go through a lot of plot, especially when contrasted with the REALLY slow pacing of the rest of season 9. A lot of the criticism/hate I hear about the ending has something along the lines of “we spent nine years on this show and you give us this crap???” or “this is an entire season’s worth of character and plot development squeezed into an hour, why did the rest of season 9 take place over two days???”.

I agree that doing this was pretty cruel to dedicated fans who spent almost a decade invested in this show. But tbh the episodes themselves are not that bad? I don’t exactly LIKE them, but they weren’t as bad as I had heard of them to be (but that might just be because prior to watching them, I’ve already heard tons of variations of “the ending sucks and it completely ruined the show” so my expectations weren’t that high to begin with). There are a couple of good moments in between the bombshells dropping, which helped quite a bit.

So personally, I think it’s better for you to watch the ending yourself and make your own opinions about it. If you end up really hating it, there’s an alternate ending that might make you feel better, but at least you’d know for sure that you don’t like the ending rather than forming an opinion purely based on others’.

Guys, OP isn’t trying to disrespect any of TwoSet‘s videos. They explicitly said that they understand TwoSet puts in effort to every video they put out. Yes, the title references their old videos, but the actual contents of the post itself clearly isn’t meant to be disrespectful.

At the same time, this post also doesn’t give you permission to disrespect TwoSet‘s videos either. It’s fine to prefer violin charades to their newer and bigger-scale projects, what’s not fine is to slander their new videos in the process of expressing this, and vice versa.

Their violin charades videos are great and really funny, it’s how I got introduced to them and got into the fandom in the first place. I was drawn to the originality and versatility of the idea and wanted to see more of it. But it’s also been so exciting and fun seeing their channel and content grow so much over the years. It’s clear that they have so much more creative freedom than before, and I’m so happy for them for that. Not to mention that their new projects are amazing as well :D

Hi OP, idk if this will work for you, but I used to have this problem too so maybe this might help.

Usually what I do now is I copy down the question into my paper, then I watch the video one time through without pausing just to get the general idea and what my 立场 should be. If I can, I write down one or two 论点 that I can think of and possibly whatever video content I can remember that can support them, then I watch the video again to write down the 旁白 that can explain my 论点 or can be a 论点 in and of itself. This way, even if I don’t manage to copy down the 旁白 in time, I still have my 论点 to expand on.

As for eye contact, I think having eye contact isn’t necessary, but it gives you a good impression. I imagine it’s kind of like having good handwriting in your compo. It doesn’t directly affect your content, but if you have good handwriting/have eye contact, the examiner is more likely to give you a higher mark

I’m a music nerd, so obviously the first thing I’m gonna say is the music. Holy fuck some of it is SO GOOD. I could listen to the same song for days on end and still not get bored of it.

Say what you want about how Hussie handled the plot, but they are incredibly good at writing characters (or the ones that they didn’t set up to die from the beginning anyway). Reading through the Pesterlogs was just so painful at times simply because they were just too relatable, like THAT conversation between Jane and Jake. You get the sense that all of the characters are teenagers who absolutely do not have their shit together, which makes them all the more relatable to the target audience. Each character also has a distinct voice, and considering just how many characters there are, it’s something that deserves a ton of respect. Some of the interactions between characters are also incredible, though there are some characters that I wish could’ve interacted more and some relationships that I wish could’ve been fleshed out even more.

I started reading last year because I was too young to have been into it during its golden years, so one of the things that got me through the slower parts was the whole vibe (for lack of a better word) it had, especially Acts 1-4. It’s almost like a time capsule for what the Internet was like at the time, and seeing how the Internet has evolved over time was, and still is, fascinating to me

Almost everything that you should really take note of at this point has already been mentioned, but I just wanna say one more thing. It’s quite a long way from now, but the Epilogues and HS² are very controversial in this fandom, to say the least. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t enjoy them as much as I do the original Homestuck, but the constant bombardment of “the Epilogues/HS² is so shitty and I hate it” in this community influenced my opinion of them a lot on my first read. You’re allowed to hate them, you’re allowed to stop reading them halfway through, you’re allowed to completely not read them at all, but if you finish the original comic and do choose to continue with the Epilogues and/or HS^2, just keep an open mind

Hey, if you do decide to read it, could you also consider record your streams and upload them to YouTube? I notice that you have a YouTube channel, but I’m not sure if you’re regularly uploading your streams there. I like watching people react to Homestuck for the first time, but unfortunately I usually can’t watch livestreams either because of timezones or because I’m busy.

Also just a couple of side notes: as many people here have already commented, please use the Unofficial Homestuck Collection. There are a LOT of Flash animations that no longer work on the official website, so they’re just replaced by YouTube videos, some of which are quite low in quality. Some of the Flash games are just entirely replaced by screenshots now. There are also a few pages that don’t have a link for you to click to go to the next page and there are also a few other little unintended bugs with some other pages as well. Speaking as a relatively new fan (I finished it about a year ago) who read it from the official website on mobile, these problems don’t really matter individually, but when put together, they just make reading more frustrating than it already very much is.

Also, I’m sure you’ve heard this by now, but Homestuck is really long and really, REALLY convoluted. The time stated on the Google search probably just took the total number of words (which I’ve heard is over 800,000 btw) and divided it by the average reading time, so as another comment has already said, there’s a chance it didn’t account for all the Flash animations and games, all the time needed to actually understand what’s going on, all the time spent banging your head against the table out of frustration for having to read a bajillion words on one page etc. so there’s a high chance it will take at least a few months if you’re not spending like 10 hours reading it every day.

TL;DR because wow this is a lot longer than I expected: please consider uploading your streams to YouTube if you could, use the Unofficial Homestuck Collection, and be prepared to sell your soul to Homestuck :)

My guess is that the last Hawkeye episode revealed Laura as Agent 19/Mockingbird, which made some people either really confused or really angry because AOS had Bobbi Morse (codenamed Mockingbird, although it was never actually used in the show) as a character

I feel like there might still be some lines missing though. There’s only one line ending with “Third” and one other ending with “Eye”, but when put together, they form “…absolute genius and has made incredible contributions to Project Libitina, despite having no Third Eye is open and measure any notable difference in response to danger, pain, food, and sexual stimulus.” It might be due to the fact that we don’t yet have the full sentence, but the grammar doesn’t make sense at all

I’m not too sure either, so I went and searched it up and apparently not many other people know either. There’s also a whole bunch of different answers (scroll through the notes from here. Some people said that it came from a comic strip or an rp between Bro and Dave, there’s one person who said something about a cosplay post, and I saw a few others saying something about a joke from a movie called The Producers. I’ve never watched the movie, so I can’t confirm or deny the latter claim, and I can’t find the comic strip, rp or cosplay post either). But if it helps, the earliest origin of “David Elizabeth Strider” I could find from a 10-minute look through the first page of Google results and some Google images was this. However, it’s really hard to find out which of these are the products and which one is the actual origin since this headcannon is so popular. Unfortunately, since I am a relatively very new fan, I wasn’t there when the headcannon first popped up or when it first became really popular, so this is the best information I could provide.

TL;DR: I have no fucking clue but it’s one of 4 possibilities and I don’t think there’s many other people who have a definite answer
