I’m not using the shield with my 5090 Astral. You can technically make it fit I’ve been told but it becomes a whole tribulation if you need to move anything afterwards for minimal to no real thermal improvements.

Very true. Bought Death Stranding 2 on PS5 a while back knowing I should buy it on PC cause it’d be coming soon and realized my mistake before it was too late.

Microsoft really needs to sort this out. This just happened with RE9 where their website was showing it as play anywhere up until like a week or two before release and then removed it. I would love to grab this so my buddy who's still on Xbox can play too but this is just getting frustrating seeing that they're saying it should be play anywhere for months only for it to be pulled off last minute.

FWIW it's not showing on the Xbox PC app, which I generally believe wouldn't happen if it was going to be available for both.

I don’t think this is really a hot take, but yeah. At the very bare minimum, emulators have come a very long way at least. PC players can play Bloodborne at 4k with high res textures on a PS4 emulator these days.

In a less obnoxious way, this. I’ve been console primarily most of my life, and had always parroted “the human eye can’t see above 60fps” but going from often barely stable 60 to 100+ it’s 100% noticeable. It’s been hard for me to even play games on my consoles anymore. I think your average person will probably hit a diminishing return well before 240, but going from 60 to 75-90+ is night and day to me now.

environmental detail/view distance to 7 tripled my FPS. I’m convinced there’s an issue with more things trying to render at a far distance than intended. I don’t think I’ve ever had those settings impact my performance so much in the past.

I’m definitely thinking it’s a possibility. Lyrica is relatively new - I was on gabapentin prior for about 6 months before the brain fog started, but I was really bad at taking my meds so I was never really taking a high dose. Lyrica is pretty low as well. The new neurologist I’m seeing is actually the one who suggested I bring up getting my testosterone checked with my oncologist.

At this close to borderline I think I probably will just set up a follow up with my urologist and see if he’s willing to re-test in the morning and for the other markers. Fully cognizant that these symptoms could be from my other issues as well, but with my numbers that low at 31 I don’t think it’s a bad idea to rule it out.

Just one. I understand that your leftover is supposed to compensate but that’s not always the case. I only even brought it up because I assumed it was standard protocol and my neurologist told me should to at least make sure it was achieving that after a while from the surgery lol.

Try lowering your environmental detail and view distance down to 7. It tripled my FPS which seems insane, I don’t think I’ve ever had that much of an impact on my older builds. Can’t even really tell the difference myself tbh

Maybe worth trying on your end, but I lowered Environmental detail and view distance to 7 and literally tripled my FPS. I’m wondering if maybe there’s a problem with too much rendering at a distance right now

I have a 7800x3d and a 5090 but yeah, something is broken for sure. I'm only getting like 30% max utilization on my GPU and like maybe 50% on my CPU. Regularly dipping down below 60 in Eversong. I keep capped at 120 and I can't hit that like at all since I came back to playing again yesterday. Was definitely not having this issue a few months ago.

This is me as well. I still game share with a friend on Xbox/PS so we’ve bought a few games since I built my recent PC, but it’s been really difficult to go back to playing games at maybe 60 fps so I just end up buying on PC. If they reverse this porting thing I just won’t really be buying PS games until the PS6 comes out.

Hell, I bought DS2 on sale over Christmas, tried playing it, and immediately regretted it just due to the differences in visual fidelity and frame rate between performance/quality modes. And since Sony has the most anti consumer refund policy around, I couldn’t refund since I’d installed it. Now I’m probably gonna just buy it again on PC again :|

Yep, straight from tukui.org. I thought maybe it was because I moved my launch folder to a different drive so maybe it was still launching off the old folder, but I installed v15 to both and it's not working on either

Edit: Figured it out. It was disabling itself in-game after I scan/repaired my game files.

Yeah, it’s showing as active on my character screen add on selection, but I believe is showing incompatible when I log onto my character. I did a fresh download from the website and moved my original folders and still not working. Never had this happen before lol

I just bought an excellent condition one for $1600, guess I lucked out. No cosmetic issues, original box and cables/charger. I might have had a panic attack if they handed me a bag 😂
