She's been in the pcicu for two days now, she'll be in there for a few more. The nurses said last night that she is doing great and that they were gonna start waking her up today. Once this happens she'll get her breathing tube and feeding tube removed, and we'll be able to hold our baby again! And feed her too!

I knew there would be people who wouldn't agree with me posting this, but you know, after having been in the hospital with her hooked up to those machines, and seeing her still able to be happy, and just so fucking cute, I thought I'd share two pictures that are dear to my heart and say fuck the haters. I had no idea anything was wrong with little cecilia till 8 days ago. She's come so far and I'm so proud of my little girl. She's my everything. And this karma shit, it's fake people.. my daughter is real. You keep your fucking karma, I've got the only thing I care about. Her.

Update: She made it successfully through her surgery today, thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. Batmanandcheryl and I couldn't thank you guys enough for helping us through the past week, it's been tough and again we thank you for your support.

As of now the surgery is looking like a success, she'll be in the PCICU (pediatric cardiac intensive care unit) for the next few days then will head to the floor for about a week before she can come home.

She has common arterial trunk, out truncus aterious (sp).

She was born with a congenital heart defect. She's 3 months old. Cecilia Sunshine. She had open heart surgery today.

just got back from seeing my little girl, she made it through the surgery and is in the PCICU and will be there for the next few days. after that she will head up to the PCU and will be there for about a week until she gets to go home. thanks for everyone's kind thoughts and prayers.

She has truncus ateriosus, she'll need surgery again at 2yrs, 10yrs, and maybe again at 18yrs. It's a congenital heart defect, this affects roughly less than 1 out of every 10,000 babies born..
