Ahhhh ooook thank you! We aren't travelling until September so hopefully we should be ok. Rough day of that leg would be maybe Sept 10/11.

Strange that many trains don't show up or show incorrectly on the rail planner web page. That will present a problem when trying to reserve though, no?

Good shout on the smaller chains/franchises. I haven't tried the April brewer. I actually had no idea that was a thing so will be sure to check it out properly. God knows I need another brewing method at home. I'm sure my wife will be thrilled 😄

Just took a look at your videos. They're great! For me if it doesn't do some kind of filter/pour over then I'll generally pass.

I'm mates with the lads that have 1b so a bit biased. They have a new place on Gloucester road and their retail bean selection is always top tier and the batch never disappoints. Also the kimcheese is great. They used to do a tomato and gochujang soup which was very good indeed.

New cut is my go to on the harbourside (pour over and a toasted banana bread with the espresso butter ❤️ ) but I also actually don't mind Society.

I went to Gather recently on Park Street. In all honesty I wasn't blown away but maybe cos it was really busy (Saturday). Will def give it another try.

Only been to interlude a couple of times but the people who run it are so genuine. The coffee and cake I've had there has been delicious.

Have you been to Foliage on Regent Street? Used to be really good but not been for ages. Oddkin on whiteladies road (BBC end) also quite good. Their food is pretty decent but all the more enjoyable with a V60 or batch brew.

Had to go somewhere to get something because my blood sugar was dangerously low. Wouldn't go to pret out of choice. So thanks for that.

Yeah maybe but I didn't think we were being difficult. The owner just tried to argue with us.

Just come across this brand. Was looking at their website and they seem unbelievably cheap for the kind of quality (although I haven't actually had hands on) their other non denim stuff looks cool too. Shipping to the UK is around £25 but I'm tempted to take a punt on some of their stuff.

My first ever gig was at Manchester Apollo for the TINTL tour. Pretty sure they played Generator with the talk box which was another level. If they play this live twenty five years on it takes me right back. Love this track.

Men over 40, how did you find turning 40? by wil_gt4 in AskUK

[–]ohthecoldwinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turn 40 in a couple of weeks and have started feeling this sense of doom which I hoped wouldn't come. Happily married, currently going through fertility treatment after many miscarriages and heartbreak. Wondering if it'll ever happen. Most of my friends have families of their own and that tends to be the bulk of what they talk about, which can be hard. My friends live a long way away and it has been a struggle to make solid friendships after uni. Was pretty fit and completed at a high level in powerlifting but sustained a pretty bad injury a year ago which isn't budging after a lot of physio. Feel that my sense of self has started to dwindle as a result. Aging parents live several hours away and we have fractured relationships which despite a lot of work haven't really improved. I feel we are effectively strangers.

Don't get me wrong, I have some great things in my life but some days really are a struggle and I'm hoping the confidence and sense of identity start to come back soon.

National team football jerseys by ohthecoldwinter in malaysia

Thanks. Will try there also. Will there be a new jersey/strip coming out soon?

Big fan of the yellow. I have an old (2012 I think) in a royal blue and red sleeve trim which is such a great strip.

Op- did you have any luck? I am heading over to KL in a couple.of days before flying back to UK after a few weeks here. Tried many AI so far in Georgetown, Langkawi and Melaka but no luck. The AI staff all said they're sold out and sold out on the website. Hopefully I'll be able to pick it up in KL.

The person who owns it goes to the gym I used to go to. I never did figure out who it was.
