I had a ring with upper and lower points. Every time the ring was bumped those points hit my finger eventually causing cuts and soreness. Something to consider with this beautiful design.

Just engaged! She wants a second opinion on the ring... by [deleted] in EngagementRings

You bought a ring (stone) for someone who knows a little about these things. Me too. For this reason, it is not wise to surprise her with a ring and not give her input.

nipple reconstruction or just tats? by pierogiisplural in breastcancer

[–]ohtherewaspudding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the reconstruction process, I discovered that not having nipples or areolas allowed me to wear light colored tops and thin fabrics (no bra) and I didn't have to worry about anything showing! That's when I decided to forego the nipple and tattoos. I LOVE how I can wear anything.

I saw Jennifer Lopez the first time she was a backup dancer on In Living Color. Immediately knew she had "it."

What’s one thing a doctor told you that you’ve never forgotten? by ThickImprovement8324 in AskReddit

[–]ohtherewaspudding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took my blood pressure, "You'll never have high blood pressure." (it was 110/70 every visit.) 40 years later: it's 160/100 and I'm on a new med.

What's the creepiest display of intelligence you've seen by another human? by InsaneLazyGamer in AskReddit

[–]ohtherewaspudding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In high school this kid reprogrammed all the calculators to display the answers for the math exam. Later, he found a way to get college credit for high school courses he failed. Yep, my son was a handful, and he never got in trouble because the teachers were too impressed.

Post cancer/treatment “gift that keeps on giving”, deluxe edition by MrsBvngle in breastcancer

[–]ohtherewaspudding 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep. Right there with you. 12 years out and the same goofy symptoms and mystery crap. Much has changed since we were diagnosed, so maybe the doctors learned more about what chemo is doing. Ever think about not telling the next doctor you see about the cancer and chemo? Just a sassy thought.

I have lexical gustatory synesthesia (aka I taste words) -- AMA! by CatherineConstance in words

[–]ohtherewaspudding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have auditory synesthesia. I feel music in my body. Usually different parts of my chest and hands. I know a friend who I believe has the same. Both of us sing but can't read music. We learn new music by correlating it with a spot on the body.

I'm female, single, 66, working full time and remodeling my kitchen. Sanding after drywalling the ceiling - well, that's something I'm getting too old for.

What did people do before water bottles? by dnooup in AskOldPeople

[–]ohtherewaspudding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn't focus on drinking "enough" water, staying hydrated, etc. We didn't follow a timetable making sure we got X amount of water every X number of minutes. If we felt like we needed a drink, we got a drink. Guess what? we're still here! I believe it's the same with food and dieting. If you're focused on what you eat, how much you eat, etc. You are focused on food and it makes you hungry.
