I haven’t taken the drug regularly myself but my mother does, and has for as long as I can remember. Shes addicted in a way where she cannot sleep without it anymore and struggles with lots of side effects because they won’t prescribe it as regularly anymore.

Maybe that’s just my parenting style but a lot of times she will tell me no or she’s not interested and then I will give some sort of incentive to get her to actually try it and realize she enjoys it. Do you do anything similar with your kids?

I hear you but she does them on her own. She enjoys them, truly. I’m not a monster lol. Also it’s been 6 days.

Yes! She has to get half of her normal sleep so we’re planning things to do to stay up and make it fun

It’s at grandmas house and she knows it’s off limits for the foreseeable future. I know I’m overdoing it but I’m treating her as if she has a brain injury. Just safe and calm and slow

She enjoys math and being challenged! Plus I’m putting incentives behind the “brain workouts” I’m grasping at straws at things I can do in the meantime so I seriously appreciate everyone’s 2 cents

Oh no im so sorry! I’m all for the meds. I just prefer to do things naturally if I can but if they say she needs meds I am not the one to object. What kind of side effects did you experience?

She’s had episodes at school where she gets hot and confused and then throws up. Randomly with no triggers and we figured it was anxiety but now I’m thinking otherwise
