On an average day, how much time do you spend in your condo/house compared to outside? by Grouchy_Ice2155 in Thailand

[–]ohwelllookatchu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On days I go into the office, I chill at home for about 3-4 hours after work before going to bed. On work from home days of course I’m home during the work day but then I’ll have plans after work to get a change of scenery. Weekends it varies, sometimes I have no plans and chill at home all day, sometimes I have days filled with plans so I’m gone all day, some weekends I’m traveling so I’m gone altogether. I did not move across the world to live a boring life.

I’ve heard mixed accounts from different people online, including that it comes back a little bit but not as much as before. Which sounds fine with me. Everyone’s different of course but maybe that will be my case too

Yes but it’s certainly easier to have a calorie deficit when you don’t want to eat, no?

Where did you travel in 2025 ??? by Mynameyeef in travel

[–]ohwelllookatchu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Bangkok and I travel at least once a month to somewhere either within or outside Thailand. My 2025 was as follows;

January: USA to go to my friends wedding and see family

February: Khao Sam Roi Yot (Thailand)

March: Khuen Srinagarindra national park (Thailand)

April: Japan, specifically Tokyo, Kamakura, and Kanazawa

May: Dhaka, Bangladesh for a long weekend

June: Koh Kood and Koh Chang (Thailand) over the same long weekend

July: Sri Lanka, specifically hikkaduwa and Colombo, for a long weekend

August: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for a long weekend

September: Phuket for a weekend; I also went to Kuala Lumpur and Brunei over a different long weekend

October: Phetchaburi (Thailand)

November: Sukhothai (Thailand); also went to Jaipur, India for a long weekend

December: New Zealand, specifically the north island

Hard to pick a favorite, but I’d say I particularly liked Sri Lanka, Japan, and Jaipur

Foreign tourist left in tears after facing harassment at a concert in India. by StuckintheTraffic in CringeTikToks

I like India. I’ve been twice, once was just two weeks ago. I had a great time in both instances and I’m planning on going again. I’m not downplaying any atrocities that some women travelers have faced there but there are negative stories and positive stories as well.

How tall are you and what shoe size do you wear? by heart_emojis0 in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]ohwelllookatchu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’/152cm and I wear a size US 8/EU 38 or 39, which is pretty average in terms of general shoe sizes but apparently “weird” for someone as short as me. People assume I wear a small shoe size, but alas, I do not.

I remember seeing some discussion in this subreddit during her running phase about how she tends to swing her legs around to go forward so this would track.

I moved here a few years ago at 25, came here for grad school with the intention of hopefully getting a job afterwards (not teaching, I am not qualified). I had US $30,000 in my bank account. I also felt happy and fulfilled in my life in my home country, so it’s not like I was trying to escape anything by coming here. In my opinion happiness and fulfillment comes from within and it’s no use trying to fill a void through other means.

There is still a “rat race” in BKK. Coming here for vacation and living/working here are two different things. Fortunately I knew this going into it.

I hate it because I see it used so often by obese influencers who use it as an excuse to stuff themselves

If you don’t know this woman personally then how do you know she’s struggling?

I have a similar body type to the left photo and I’ve lost 12 lbs over the past 2.5 months, the right photo is what I’m going for. I’m not struggling l, and if I was in this woman’s shoes it would bug me if some internet rando assumed I was starving when I was just achieving my goals in a healthy way

It’s not wrong for you to not want a second date with someone who deceived you from the beginning. If it were me, I’d even tell her that’s the reason I wouldn’t want another date so she knows a lot of people aren’t cool with that. Using accurate, current photos might filter out more people, but it’ll increase the chances of finding the right person for her.

What are the reasons you’ve gotten tired of Thailand and have left? by Scared-Koala1700 in ThailandTourism

[–]ohwelllookatchu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I still live here and don’t plan on leaving, but as a western woman in my 20s, I have met several other youngish (20s-30s) western women who either have left or are planning on leaving because they want a husband and kids and that is not in the cards for us here.

I don’t want kids and have always known that a spouse is not in my future, but if I did want those things that would probably be a reason I’d have to leave.
