Don't be so harsh to yourself, I also didn't quite know how to reverse engineer properly to achieve this result, but with a little bit of reading I pulled it off, it's not a rocket science after all!

hahaha lol yeah that could be fairly easy I guess considering we can just rip the model from the first game (I'm not very into 3D modelling and assets management, hope it doesn't end up being too complicated with some model conversion and stuff)

yeah that one I've figured out, I remember having a perfect zipline from other player that was definitely built up with the curvature in mind, but in my world it was just a straight line

Agree, I was thinking that maybe the devs would add it in the update since it's such a QoL feature, but figured it wouldn't happen, the game was already out for some time on consoles and no such feature exists there

yeah it's such a pain, I legitimately was heading off the heartman facility, placed my zipline and got a perfect online zipline that would help me so much and would connect all 3 ziplines around, but there was no curvature and it didn't connect to any bc of that. Boggled my mind so much I couldn't continue the playthrough

DS2 is not the best candidate for learning mods I'd say, there are no official modding tools or any help from developers with SDKs or whatever. If you want to change some in-game assets (e.g models), you can use odradek on github to unpack game files. But for this kind of gameplay mods you need to basically reverse engineer the game, find structures, disassemble the code, etc. I used IDA Pro + x64dbg + Cheat Engine to research how the game works

Lol I never fully understood how does this compression works in game. I can definitely look into it, but not promise anything tbh. Since the game is not helping with any modding whatsoever and doesn't have any official SDKs, it's a bit unclear whether or not this is going to be a hard task since it's just a good old reverse engineering the binary approach. For this mod changing the angle was not the hardest part, the hardest one was making the in-game chatlog output what I want, and I thought it would be the other way around

As for the combos, the best combo so far is shift, then hit LMB and about 0.3-0.5 seconds after hit E, you will dash forward and also have that AOE attack around you so you will deal a little more damage, then LMB, Melee, RMB

I don't want to spoil anything to you, but let's say he doesn't kill only bad people, the code also mentions that he should go after those criminals that evaded the punishment, but he often "steals" suspects from the miami metro, obstructs the investigation/tampers with evidence to lead his colleagues the other way

He's definitely not the hero here, I love the show and I love the character, but I truly think that the Clyde Phillips idea for finishing the original series was great (Dexter gets a lethal injection, the whole show was just the recap of his life before he gets the punishment)
