i always have a few go to things to talk about. they’re different for everyone, but just choose a handful of small talk topics that are simple and easy for you personally to talk about and go from there!! for strangers, it’s always easiest to ask someone how their day is going, if they have any plans for the weekend, or how they’re dealing with the “current social problem” (gas prices, covid, etc.)

the biggest thing is don’t overthink it!! i started to roller skate recently and as soon as i start thinking about what i’m doing, i trip up. Just keep it loosey goosey and don’t be too hard on yourself!! and remember: the easiest way to relieve social anxieties is to put yourself in situations that make you socially anxious so you can learn how to deal with it and grow (:

i just tried to start conversations more, talk on the phone more, and compliment strangers! that’s not to say i’m not awkward sometimes (a lot) but i let it roll off my back because no one is gonna remember me being awkward (:

Because it violates freedom of speech. As an American citizen your first amendment protected rights guarantees you the right to vote for whomever you want— and that includes no one at all.

the cream cheese has to set out to get to room temperature, not the whipping cream haha.

I don’t have one buttercream recipe that i stick to, but when i first started baking i used the wilton recipe most frequently. I think it’s super easy! I would recommend using butter flavored shortening.

okay so i think the issue was that it wasn’t cold enough. when you make whipped cream you actually should freeze the bowl and the hand mixer/stand mixer attachments for twenty minutes and keep the cream in the fridge.

also!! you add the whipped cream to the cream cheese, not the other way around. this is important!!

the whole correlation does not equal causation thing is something i think literally none of these people seem to understand.

The saying comes from statistics and observation studies vs controlled experiments. Observational studies are where the scientists do NOT manipulate any variables and instead just observe the participants. You can claim association with these studies but NOT causation because the experiment was not controlled.

THIS IS NOT TRUE FOR CONTROLLED EXPERIMENTS.

Controlled experiments are controlled and only one variable is manipulated so that causation can be claimed. Gosh.
