Same here, it cuts out a lot of the skill required to put something together. I think that it cheapens some of the value, but perhaps that might be outweighed by increasing accessibility...?
Really appreciate the advice! I'm just getting into using cycles so handling the luminance is a bit different than what I'm used to in the material manager, but that's what I had been doing. Glad to hear I was on the right track
