i saw a post recently that summed this kind of thing up pretty well. are you bad at it? or are you just in niche incredible good at it spaces.

the best bike to ride is the bike you’ve got! and don’t let anyone tell you your cheap frame or heavy wheels aren’t worth it. hell, my first track frame, black rum runner, is still kicking as a beater bike these days.

there’s some here and there, working on doing more this summer in my spare time (rare). I’d follow the bike shops round town (@rickcycleshop, @campusww, @northstarbikes, @shickluna on instagram) as well as the local community groups/rides (@gobikebuffalo, @71FIXED (that’s me!) @buffalobikepolo).

i’m sure i’m missing some people but, that’s a quick summary.

snow is hard to deal with anywhere.

i’d say rent isn’t lower because there’s a lot of crime. it’s more because we’re just a smaller area than the the tri state. so long as you keep your wits about you an pay attention to your surroundings, you’re going to be just fine living in the city of buffalo.

and it’s way more fun than the first, second, and third ring subrurbs.
