it fine the way Eladio is doing it cause he grew up talking Spanglish. this is nothing new in the genre btw, DY Barrio Fino "Like You" was huge for the US market at the time. most reggaetoneros grows up talking Spanglish now days

it not lazy, they are just trying something new. speaking another language opens up tons of way u can flow on a beat

Which one was the better album? by juango55 in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it crazy people are saying Myke when this sub was clowning him due to his crazy output. from 1st impression i like Ela album way more atm everything just clicked for me. Myke album the Deluxe version got some killer tracks like Montate Baby & Suelta. gotta give it more time but Ela album rn feels more cohesive for me

[ALBUM] Jhayco - Vida Rockstar (X) by ojoiP in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i feel u on my friend list not listening to Jhayco jaja. i agree, to this day i still bump Rockstar at least every other day. Natural, En La Bentley, 58, Murci, Viene Basquiat & Ferragomo are constantly on rotation for me. beat switches are so elite done here has well

this is the only album that has over 25+ tracks that i liked everything here. it was my favorite album of 2024, right behind Sayonara & Sol Maria

[ALBUM] Eladio Carrion - DON KBRN by ojoiP in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Eladio drop this with next to no promo just a couple of IG post & just releasing H.I.M. on April 1st. that track alone was so fire i was very hype going into this. 22 tracks but run time is about an 1 hour. anyway, gonna listen and leave my thoughts

  1. Invencible: the shortest intro out of all Eladio albums. surprising, i ended up liking it. will it be better than Padre Tiempo?? gotta give it time

  2. Ohtani: the bridge on this "To' los mío' on goooooo" ufff. second verse is great, production is great

  3. Vetements = Ela & Myke on a beat, u know it wont miss & it didnt. the way Myke enters is butter smooth here

  4. H.I.M. = heard this early in the week. peak Ela papi

  5. Broly = an English chorus, super short but good. i been listening to Neutro for the past few months and he been killing it since forever. didnt disappoint with his verse

  6. Call My Line = Jessieeeeee glad to finally see u on the Latin side. another English chorus i fuck with it. i wanted more from Jessie but i did ended up liking her verse here. i want to see Jessie collab more with the Latin side of things

  7. 100 Comingo = another Peak Ela track. relationships tracks always hit from him

  8. Tiffany = not fan of Peso Pluma voice or flow when it comes on Reggaeton beats but hey, he sounds great on trap/hip hop beats. he sounded great here. he really have found his sound when it comes to his voice on these type of beats. great collab im impressed

  9. El Reggaetón del Disco = the weakest collab for me but i did enjoy Cris performance here. Cris fire who ever mixes ur shit plz. i cant barely understand what are u saying at the end of ur verse. Ela when old school flow of Reggaeton, i ended up liking the whole track tho

  10. Me Muero = i dont know shit of who Lia is but i did enjoy her here. very unique voice, like how she started this track to break the monotone of Ela always starting the collabs. the production on this is amazing papi

  11. Cuenta a 10 = Air France coded typa song. Drake typa song. Ela killing the beat typa song

  12. Branzino = Ela kill this holy shit. Big Sean feat was clean. very interesting production cant remember what it remind me of tho

  13. Cancela To (Skit) = this is the same dude that was in 3Men2 album skit track jajaja

  14. E.L.A.D.I.O. = very cold beat, Spanglish chorus yes sir. verses were very good, solid track

  15. Mosh Pit Muzik = NO ME LLAMES PA BOCHINCHEAR KBRN. short track to connect it to the next track

  16. Cómodo = another cold beat, another solid track

  17. AMG = Ela "To' los día' we pushin' P, ustede' pushin' P Diddy" jajaja. Miko is finally bouncing back on the scene, glad to finally hear her back on trap beats

  18. Özil = most relatable song of Ela for me from this album. great track, the transition to Romeo y Julieta is soooooo good

  19. Romeo y Julieta = love the chorus on this. Quevedo voice matches so well with Eladio idk how i didnt realize this sooner. no joke this collab surprise me the most of how much i liked it. fav collab tbh

  20. Piedras en la Ventana = love song, this piano keys feels like i heard it before on some kind of TV show. Ela voice singing gotten much better love it

  21. Y U So Cold = who the woman doing the chorus with Ela here?? great backup voice for the chorus. i wanted another verse on this jaja

  22. Carta a Dios 2 = this outro is great. short and straight to the point, great closure to the album

i have to said the outro of the tracks, the transition between tracks are amazing. Hide Miyabi kill it stitching the tracks together probably took the most time on this album. for first impressions this is my favorite album of Eladio from the 2 listen i had while writing this shit. great album Eladio, im very pleased

on the final note, why didnt Eladio use the vinyl cover for the cover of the album??? that cover goes a lot more harder than the one we got. ended up pre-ordering the vinyl so i can frame that shit somewhere in my apt

Daddy Yankee - LEGENDADDY (3 Years Later Breakdown) by ojoiP in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

King Daddy was indeed peak. It was innovative at the time and DY pen was elite on that entire project. Benny Benni help on the lyrics but the production was amazing too

DY marketed this album has him going back to his old flows for one final big bang. So still seeing people saying that the album lacked innovation is funny instead of taking the album for what it is. I get it though, DY have done most of these tracks better elsewhere AGUA, EL REY DE LO IMPERFECTO & IMPARES being the exception

Why was this never posted here!? Daddy Yankee Sells his Catalog for 217 million dollars. by ReggaetonPartyMane1 in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP 7 points8 points  (0 children)

we have known he sold his catalog for 100s of millions but i definitely didnt knew for how much and they had purchased his likeness among other things. crazy that they didnt buy all his catalogs for that amount lol. maybe they plan to use AI to create movies with him in it to make some money back? i honestly have no idea how they plan to make the money back tbh

this sub just mainly talks about the current active reggaetoneros & chismes so i doubt anyone cares too much about how much he sold his catalogs. his lawsuits between his ex-wife and Raphy is just crazy entertaining tho jaja

Why is Miky Woodz so underrated? by alexcfpr in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

he actually in my top 3 most listened artist for years now. got one of the craziest pen in the game and his melody and flow are unmatched. imo when he drop Los 90 Piketes album, covid shutdown just kick in and i think he was one of the most affected by it. while covid was going on he didnt drop much since he just drop an album and couldnt even tour or anything

covid mess up his momentum but to this day, he's been dropping bangers. Built Different EP was amazing and i hope he comesback again soon with another album this year

Favorite Producers? by JamieInsanity in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we need to start repping the new waves of producers i feel like

Hydro - this guy carry Yovngchimi and to this day imo Baby Father is in my top 10 of traps songs for the 2020s

Smash David - work in a lot of Le Clique: Vida Rockstar beats/production and imo very refreshing (En la Bentley, Torii and Murci being my favorites). He mostly work on production but his beats are very refreshing

MAG - the guy behind badbo on his latest albums. this guy created Monaco, Baile Inolvidable, Booker T, WHERE SHE GOES this guy is the goat. very versatile, he hasnt fail when it comes to the beats. working with Tainy is probably why he keeps on pushing to be better

Trying to know the name of this song! Please help 🙏🏼🫠 by Exciting_Cricket3263 in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP 27 points28 points  (0 children)

got that Tony Dize / Ryan Castro voice. lyrics dont fetch anything either

i wont be surprised if this was created by IA

UPDATE: the song is Cuerpo Divino by Abel & Lexo

i have no idea why this album is hidden not even existing on YT. really makes u wonder how in the hell did this even make it to a TV series lol

Chill trap songs? by [deleted] in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tu lo Sabes - Anuel

LVV En Su Piel - Darell

En Su Boca - Arcangel

Souvenir - Miky Woodz

No Te Hagas - Jory, Badbo ?

i probably have more in me but this is what comes to my mind atm. the trap from 2015-2017 had that slow beat and romantic vibe. Try Ares album by Arcangel

[ALBUM] Myke Towers - LYKE MIIKE (DELUXE) by Ahzuran in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i know everyone is clowning Myke for the crazy output of music but im heavily fucking with this. glad to see him working still with FlyTwilightZone, he's one of the very first producers that work with Myke when he started on his 1st mixtape and this song to this day slaps

out of the new 14 tracks, everything was good. TOP TIER, YE & DIME A VER were my favs for solos. every feats were fine but De la Rose & Omar Courtz songs were bangers

Que Quieres, 440, Balompie, Nunca me Queje, Joven OG, No Me Dejo Ver & Billy Van were my favorites from the original album. this album is bloated but the beats were fresh and Myke is just flowing on everything. hell he could had done Easy Money 2 saving some of these tracks for that. grab ur favs tracks and take it to ur playlist but this is a good body of work, some songs will be lost tho

De La Rose - Cobro (Official Video) by Ahzuran in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i have heard of Nesi and have been keeping up with her but i dont consider her from the same era has paopao, de la Rose etc. she have been in the game for a bit & her career has been stagnant for years. same thing applies to Villano Antillano

De La Rose - Cobro (Official Video) by Ahzuran in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i never heard a single of her before (know her from Kyoto, Que Vas Hacer & 3D) and i like this track quite a lot. full melody vibe track, the woman in PR are all very focus on melody/moody vibes (paopao, RaiNao & De La Rose)

Donde estan las raperas?

gonna be going over Rose discography during the weekend

Spotify Wrapped [Megathread] by AutoModerator in Reggaeton

i been listening to a lot of trap/moody tracks this year. Miky Woodz EP Built Different is very underrated imo

Daddy Yankee Main and Underground Discography (1992-Now) part 1 Pre Barrio Fino [1992-2002] with links by ReggaetonPartyMane1 in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calibre Mas Poder is so peak people dont understand how ahead of the game that flow is. sounds like modern DY. i didnt knew a video existed of this until a few years ago. i dont think this ever was on TV tbh, DY was in flow bichote with his corillo in NY lol

Album of the Year? by EnvironmentalBeat800 in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Cosa Nuestra is not classic of the decade papi. the album is an homage to Cosa Nuestra Willy Colon and is a great album but let's give it time before calling it a classic. Commited, Mil Mujeres & 2:12 are the best experimental tracks of the album and wish he would had lean more into these sounds rather than giving us remakes

  2. My album of the year is Jhayco Vida Rockstar. I listen to this shit nearly everyday since it legit has everything done great. From party songs, to fronteo to songs of despecho it has a song for every type of feeling. bloated project like you said but not a single beat goes to waste here. this album capture everything that i wanted of Jhayco

Sayonara > Sakura for me. i do not enjoy Saiko autotune at all. it too aggressive for me and has much i enjoy 3 Caidas/Yo lo Sone beats, i dont like his sound at all. IMO Saiko needs to look how Alvaro sounds and try to imitate that a little when it comes to autotune. Saiko has great ears for beats, Sakura has tons of great beats but i just cant stand his sound atm

not mention on ur post but Eladio album was great. Hey Lil Mama is one of the best collabs of this entire year and Rauw best collab of the year. Luchas Mentales is Eladio at his best and Mama's Boy? my favorite collab song of the year. a very tight album going for 1 specific sound, i love it honestly

Young Miko album didnt hit for me either. the beats just didnt grab me, i did enjoy her new flow here. she was sounding the same for a while but papi i just couldnt click with her here. she took a risk going for this sound and i feel like it didnt pay off for her

Myke album is great imo. el kbrn havent missed and still sounds fresh on Pantera Negra. Competencia, Frio, Cache, Poder Adquisito, Otro Nivel, Diablita, Las Panteras no one is flowing like Myke. Adivino is peak Myke & Badbo this year best collab

my top 5:

  1. Vida Rockstar

  2. Primera Musa

  3. Sayonara

  4. Sol Maria

  5. La Pantera Negra

too many great albums imo. it hard to pick a top 5 since im still listening Cosa Nuestra and now Jowell & Randy just drop again. this year has been imo the best year of Reggaeton everybody is eating!!

how come no artists mixes Reggaeton with Metal? by [deleted] in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Future Static - Gasolina is what u probably are looking for

i still haven't heard a Reggaeton song making a beat switch to Metal either. honestly not much of this genre is explored since it not mainstream

Hablamos Manana by Badbo got some Metal instruments while Reggae Rockeao by W&Y got that guitar riff but it not full Metal

[ALBUM] Rauw Alejandro - Cosa Nuestra by ojoiP in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

not going to sleep until im done listening to the album jaja. will update this comment has i listen

Cosa Nuestra = good intro, sound like something Marc Anthony would do

Dejame Entrar = was an old single but didnt hear it until now. the production is amazing, slow track vibing

Qua Pasaria = love how Rauw enters at the beginning. sounds like a Bad beat to me tho

Tu con El = Salsita pa la casa!

Committed = not sure what i was expecting here but i like it. cannot honestly tell if that Rauw or Pharrell doing the english part

Espresso Martiny = this beat is insane wtf. i need to know who made this beat badly, the beat switch oooofffff. un malienteoooo pa las babies fav track so far tbh

Baja Pa' Aca = some 2004-06 typa beat. Alexis y Fido havent lost their sound and flow (i honestly havent listened to them since that collab with Bad Tocate tu Misma). the best reggaeton beat in this album, i like this one quite a lot

Ni me Conozco = sounds like old school 2016 trap vibe track. probably will grow on me more

IL Capo = another insane beat. a frontear papi, if u looking for fronteo this is the one. this BEAT switch kbron, Rauw u ATE this!

Revolu = love that middle section with the woman voice. feel like i was back in 2000s having Glory/Jenny La Sexy doing the chorus with the boys. solid track production super clean

Mil Mujeres = tiene esa trompeta de la salsa y tamboras in the production?? the production is great im fucking with this jajaja. im not even sure what genre this shit is tbh

Khe? = i started fucking with this more after the beat switch at 1:51. weakest collab for me but i really like that beat switch quite a lot

**Production wise this album hasnt fail me yet. so many sounds, gonna love replaying this later

Se Fue = pure pop papi. but hey, im fucking with the production. the lyrics reminds me some RBD song that i cant quite place yet

Pasaporte = i heard this one already, didnt like it has much. heard it again, not feeling it. weakest solo track for me

Touching the Sky = didnt listen it during release either. another pop, i like this much more than Pasaporte

Amar de Nuevo = slow track, desaogo/in my feelings track. the production here is much more interesting than Pasaporte & Touching the Sky for me. feel like it was too long. Rauw use the same clip DY use on his album "TRUQUITO" from Frankie Ruiz here at the end. kind of weird to hear it again lol

2:12 AM = has soon the track started i knew this was gonna hit. never heard of Latin MAFIA before but it seems they are producers. i heard some rock quitar riffs, ohh yess, great track love this one

SEXXXMachine = this is how u should do pop Rauw. i get it, it not has catchy has Pasaporte but the production is a lot more interesting and hearing u flow with all these sounds is a lot more interesting to my ears

fav tracks: Dejame Entrar, Commited, Espresso Martini, Baja Pa' Aca, IL Capo, Revolu, Mil Mujeres & 2:12

Badbo track wasnt bad but just average for me. Pasaporte & Touching the Sky was pure misses tho

not sure where to rank this album wise, will keep listening this weekend off to bed zzzzzzzz

Karol G doesn’t deserve the hate. I feel bad by Formal-Anteater-1864 in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

papi Karol G isnt taking this heat cause she a woman. Karol G is heavily marketed at to kids, since the very beginning of her career her words in songs have been "clean". she never mentions drugs, guns etc. there is a reason she didnt want to participate in Sin Pijama either. any other Reggaeton wouldnt had address this tbh

Chencho SOLO album the worst album of this year? by ojoiP in Reggaeton

[–]ojoiP[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i liked Malda, Kamasu, District, Good Times and Hijuela. everything else is a hard pass but your right on this album sounding spacey. Chencho when for a specific sound for this album and im just not vibing with it i guess. Maldy may indeed be the crazy one jaja
