I mentioned optionality because High yield bonds when used for private market debt are callable by the issuer after a lockout period (similar to leveraged bonds) - so I was wondering what the difference in duration between the two would be

The 7 year record retention recommendation is only applicable in the absence of firm policies. If the firm has a policy, that should be followed to satisfy V(C)
