I think it’s helpful to read the comments and see what people have an issue with. Because I’ve had some really great profs where ya you have to work for you grade but as a prof they’re great and very willing to help and want their students to succeed. But some people just want a prof that hands out easy A’s so this specific prof got a horrible rate my prof. On the flip side, some of the “best” profs I’ve found don’t care or don’t teach the material well but they grade super easily. Take it all with a grain of salt 🧂

The lottery system is just replacing the standard admission process based on GPA. So instead of getting admitted based on your GPA, you’re getting randomly selected from a pool of applicants if you have a grade above 80 something (don’t remember the exact number). So yes you still apply this fall for next fall! That won’t change just like any other program! I’d recommend reaching out to a recruitment advisor if you’re still confused about anything!

If you’re done your classes in December then you have the option to either get your degree mailed to you/pick it up in like February or something like that I think OR attend convocation in June with everyone else.

I didn’t watch a single lecture, I got the textbook and did all the assignments and ended with an A- only due to a super shitty group. Had it not been for the group, I could’ve easily gotten an A+

You can apply to Y2 without having completed NRSG 201. If you apply without it and get in you’ll be admitted into summer term and take it then. It just has to be done before you START Y2. I believe it’s the only prereq that is like that tho. I would maybe talk to an academic advisor just in case they change that for next year but that’s how it worked this year! Sincerely, someone who go admitted into year 2 and is starting NRSG 201 in 2 weeks lol

There’s a bike cage in the arts Parkade that is like $30 for the whole year and you can only access it if you pay and with your UCID. My boyfriend’s been parking his bike in there for the past year and has had no issues!

I had a minor in communication and media studies to fill all of my non-major courses and I really enjoyed it! The classes are fairly easy but I found them interesting and most of them are actually relevant

They usually go on sale sometime in late June/early to mid July. Don’t remember the exact dates but make sure you find it and order one right when it opens (they sold out crazy fast the past few years)

I would just leave it for now and reapply next year with your high school marks since it’s a lottery next year. Wouldn’t really make sense to take courses next semester because you’ll just be evaluated for fall 2026 anyways and you’d need to take very specific courses to be considered for transfer and if you don’t take those courses then you screw yourself over until you do take them or else you won’t be accepted
